Closed starter: Josie & @henrysisaacs Location: Stepping on the beach do do do doo
For anyone looking in, it might seem like Josie and Henry have only been dating for six months. So why would marriage be on the table? Quite frankly, it's not as though Josie cares to follow anyone's rulebook anyway, but despite not being official he feels as though he's actually been with Henry for much longer than half a year. Josie could dwell on the time it's taken them to take their relationship to the next step and maybe even feel like he missed out on connecting sooner, but he doesn't regret any of the time they spent as friends. They were in different stages of their lives when they first met and he's okay with that. Still, it doesn't mean he wants to hold back on reaching new milestones.
Taking Henry's hand into his own, he strolls down the beach. With so many people focused on the carnival, it feels almost like it's just them on the sand. He knows that's not true, of course, because just out of sight he's brought Linnea in to help execute his little proposal. Although her main job is to just keep his message in the sand free from any homophobic seagulls that might come its way. He's toyed with a few different ideas in his head. Leaving a message at the end of a book. Randomly popping the question as soon as Henry enters a room. Painting it into a picture. But the beach seemed right, especially as June comes to an end. Henry hasn't exactly been subtle about wanting it either.
It's not often that Josie feels nervous and he's not sure that's how he feels right now. More excited. He's also trying not to give too much away so when he sees his message nearby, he tries his best to sound casual. "Oh, Henry..." he exclaims, pointing in the direction of a 'will you marry me?' written into the sand, "what's that? Over there?"

With a pack of beer in hand and a bouquet of flowers she'd made earlier that morning community garden, Valeria grinned as her brother answered the door to his brand new place. "Look at you with a grown up house."

Ruby: I just thought about you and I'm sorry but I have more crafting ideas. Ruby: I'm helping a friend update her room for a nursey and there's a place in LA that keeps all of the unused and scrap materials from film productions and you can take whatever you want from the building as long as you pay a 30 dollar donation fee Ruby: Interested in taking a mini road trip with me? @robbie-becker

Addison feels it before her phone lights up with a text from her brother. Ever since she woke up, she's been feeling this sense of dread wrapping itself around her. Because of the rain, she hadn't given it much thought until the text.
'I need you to come over.'
Raindrops litter the streets when she pulls up to his house. The dread wraps itself tighter around her as she takes a breath. She hopes it would calm her racing thoughts. It only gets worse as she makes her way to the front door. Without thinking, she tries to open the door - surprised to find it unlocked.
"Arkin?" She calls out into the dimly lit house, wrapping herself tighter in her jacket.

"damn it."
the french was soft yet clearly indicated her frustration as isla continued to dig through her bag, her motions only a tad frantic. quickly, she turned her heel and burst back through the doors of the building she had just exited.
"excuse me-" she began, grabbing the attention of the first person she noticed. "-hate to bother but you wouldn't have happened to see a stray set of keys around here? rose gold key fob? a few little trinkets dangling off it?"
early morning nov. 4 / grace, atlas, caliphe, & the berry family.
Atlas had helped bring Astrid to recovery, after spending hours in surgery with Lena. As the resident, it was usually his job to update the families. He met Grace in the stairwell who looked like she was just coming out of surgery with Silas. "Hey, Astrid's headed to recovery, she got lucky, how's Silas?"
Grace was exhausted, after hours in surgery, she was told to leave as they closed to go update the Berry family. "They're closing what they can now and sending him to the ICU. He's going to need another surgery for a skin graft and then one for his leg. His body just needs time." They rode the elevator down. "Not ready for this," she said as she stepped into the waiting room. "Berry family?" she asked, walking up to them to get their attention.

closed starter for @reggiellewellyn at oasis
The reason that Esther doesn't feel any surprise when her gaze lands on Reggie across the dance floor at Oasis, a little over a month after she'd come back home and gone into high alert (although she'd tried to psych herself out of it), is because it was going to happen eventually, and if it was going to happen anywhere, it was going to be a club, and this is the first time she's gone to Oasis since she's been back.
(She's not sure if Bo will still be annoyed with her for running scams on people at the bar a few times, so she's sort of been avoiding it.)
And she's also not surprised by the feeling of bitter, helpless, dreaded longing, but she still absolutely despises it, and finds it completely wretched and pathetic. For a few seconds it's easy to see him as she'd first seen him a million years ago, under the club lights, tall and scary and exciting. She goes to him not because she wants to but because she can't stop herself, an emotion she's not unfamiliar with but hasn't experienced since leaving for New York two years ago.
"Wow," she says, with a half-baked smile, like it's supposed to be a greeting, "I didn't realize you'd still be lumbering around town unaccompanied by a keeper."
"How--are you?"
