BIO:

Second born child and first born son of Mitchell Anthony and Elaine Anthony.

Arrived into the world two years after his sister Darcy and rounded out the family unit.

From a young age, it was evident that Tyger was good at sports and with some discipline and training he could grow into a gifted athlete.

Mitchell rose to task without hesitation and was more coach than father most days.

Early morning drills, game play strategies, fright night games, the Mitchell household soon began to revolve around football and the strive for a future that Ty believed was fully in reach for him.

Initially, he loved the attention from his dad and believed that bonding over the game brought them closer in a way he knew his father and Darcy weren't.

It wasn't until a string of less-than-great games in high school did he realise that there was conditions to his father's favour and those were that he had to win at any cost.

Ty was obsessed with being the best on the field for the duration of his high school football career and academics was always a firm secondary thought in his mind.

Mid-way through, his whole world shifted on it's axis for the first time after an incident involving his sister and her friends. He learned that night that unequivocally, family was to be protected and that his steadfast chief of police father who he thought had never broken so much as a traffic law would go to extreme lengths to keep his kids safe, including covering up a crime.

The aftermath of Knox Ridley's death drove a deeper wedge between Ty and Darcy than had previously existed and the adoration and desire he had to always try and fit in with his sister waned as he struggled to understand what had happened and how it had changed the person he had always known.

The breakdown of his family soon followed. Elaine moved out of the family home and into another with a husband who didn't have anything to hide and children who could be in the same room as one another. Darcy had left town without so much as a warning and all that remained was Ty and his father and the objective that he couldn't drop the ball on.

Graduated high school and got a full ride to Ohio State on a football scholarship.

Eventually ended up as first string quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes, winning two division I championships with them.

It was a no-brainer that he would be NFL drafted, the question was where would he end up rather than if he would.

Everything came to a screeching halt after a freak on field injury.

A sudden collision head-on with another player had knocked Ty out cold which wasn't something he worried much about. He had had plenty of concussions before.

After a cautionary brain scan, he was given the devastating news that if he kept playing, he was risking irreversible damage with every impact.

His professional football career ended that day.

Adrift and with no plan B, Ty ended up back in the bedroom he grew up in, in the town he had always known with everything around him feeling different.

He lost the guts of a year after to an unshakeable depression, the kind that eventually grew to grate on his father who had tried and failed to convince him to try out the police academy and follow in his footsteps.

Eventually, he managed to pull himself up and out of it.

After working a couple of minimum wage jobs, he was given a chance at assistant coaching the high school football team that had once been his entire life.

Being surrounded by the game and the passion that it brings out did wonders for him and he eventually moved out of his father's house and into his own place in Fisher's Cove.

His sister's unexpected return to town was difficult to navigate at first but like anything else, he's doing his best to mend things with her for both of their sakes.
