I have a slight addendum to this, in that technically speaking, Neil isn't ginger his hair is auburn, but like that's close enough that most people would just call it red, right? So what if Katelyn was in a similar but opposite boat. In that, her hair is technically strawberry blonde but has enough red tone in it that most people just call her a redhead/ginger. I just love the idea of them both being like not Technically redheads but being mistaken for them all the time? And then like, most of the time even Andrew and Aaron just default to calling their hair red because 'close enough'. But the second someone points out the similarities between Neil and Katelyn, that's when they will die on the hill of "his hairs not red its auburn" or "she's strawberry blonde actually." Like. Do you see the vision?
