I just realized that I probably should do an intro-esque post for this blog.
My main is rainyloreinfinity and that is where most of the chaos occurs thus far
HOWEVER
This blog is dedicated to worship of Zeus. As is already stated on my main, Zeus is one of the Gods that I am devoted to -- the first actually -- and I felt very strongly about doing this so huzzah.
So all DNIs on my main apply here as well. If unsure, read my DNI list on my main and for additional rage, check out the follower list refresh post as well.

Just so people know the background on this man and his herd of guinea pigs-- he moved into a house, and discovered about 10 guinea pigs living in a fenced area of the back garden. It was overgrown so he never noticed before moving in. It turned out the previous tenants just abandoned the poor babies. So Cyd immediately was like "well I guess im a father now." And began learning how to care for them.
He didnt realize he had to separate the males from the females (they'd been intermingled when he found them so it didnt occur to him) until suddenly all the females were pregnant and by the time he was able to separate them all out, he now had 80 guinea pigs.
Cid Dwyer, 25, from Sydney, Australia, ended up looking after the pets when the previous owners of his property left 10 guinea pigs behind i
This man became an awesome guinea dad to his 80 guinea pigs. On his tiktok he documents building them new, nicer outdoor homes, beginning to regularly grow grasses to feed them, while also spending over 100 pounds a week to keep them in supply of fresh veggies. He also treats them for lice and tics ever 3 months.
"You're devoted to Zeus? Does that mean you are pro-rape?"
No. Hell fucking no. I'm pro kill your rapist. Castrate pedophiles. Turn them into bloodied eagles. *nods to the Norse Heathens*
If you use your hands to harm, may they be cut off.
If you look at someone with ill intent may you be blinded.
If you use your tongue to cause harm may you lose it.
If you use your parts to cause harm may you be castrated. Sterile.
I'm pro reaction. If the rapist in question has a big mac truck then take what clearly matters most to them. If they won't be a responsible or respectful driver then co has no right to drive. Respond. React to that bullshit. Don't let the government decide because she will get away with it.
When the justice system fails you, all that remains is that unconventional justice. There comes a point when the decision falls upon you. There have men and women both who have been sentenced to prison and received capital punishment for responding. Meanwhile the rapists get viewed as victims. They are not victims.
I say this like you'll get away with it. You likely won't. Not in this country.
For intents and purposes, don't take this seriously. Unless you want a rebellion which many people do. In that case, burn it to the ground.
Watch and this is the first post ever that gets removed.
(This was a very passionate post because I am sick and tired of the Zeus hate. Am I pro violence? Only when it's necessary. As a Hellenic Polytheist, I'd align more with lead with kindness and back it up with vengeance. Make them think you are sweet and docile so that when they try to harm you, they are sorely mistaken. I am sweet until I am not. It's like that quote for which I already forgot the source but its "She isn't fragile like a flower. She is fragile like a bomb.")
I offer my praise to Ganymede, great one of Troy, son of the river God's daughter, companion of Eros, fairest of mortal men.
So beautiful you were, O Ganymede, so bright a flower in the field, that Zeus Himself one summer day came down to you from Olympos' heights:
A shepherd boy, you watched your herd with care; in swept the great God on eagle's wings and carried you away to the hall of the Gods, to be His cup-bearer, to make you full welcome among the deathless Gods.
Beloved of the Thunderer, O God who is a friend to lovers, I pray to You.
O Ganymede, I praise and honour You.
Courtesy of @screeching-0wl, thank you for the beautiful hard work that are those cheat sheets.

I'm not sure if I should post this under this blog or my main because I feel like it is applicable to both.
So anyway, this turned into a ramble. Prepare for a long ass read.
I was inspired to do this because I was checking out an account that was interacting with a post of mine. They mentioned how Hypnos was the first Deity he started worshipping so I thought....
Who was the first Deity you started worshiping?
What does your path look like now? Are They still part of your path or have you moved onto something else?
The very first Deity I started worshiping since I started the process of leaving my home religion was Loki. I don't know if that sounds fitting to where I am now or not. I like to think that I see a correlation but hey, maybe that's just me.
I noticed Her presence when I was in high school, particularly during my mythology class when I thought to myself that I was not a christian and that I showed interest in Norse Heathenry. I swear it was like They were right next to me in that classroom. I don't worship Him anymore but They were definitely a big part of my journey.
Alongside Loki, I interacted with Lucifer to the point that I considered pursuing Theistic Satanism. The main issue I had was that I couldn't move past the fears I had of the Infernal Divine. That put things into perspective. Except I wasn't afraid of Lucifer. So I thought to keep Him in my life because that was fine, like I wasn't freaking out over it as opposed to Satanas or Belial. Interestingly enough, during my brief (it was like a month) incorporation of Belial that He beat the ever loving shit out of one of my depressive episodes. He is intense and I can't say that He is beginner friendly. Lucifer for sure is. Highly recommend interacting with both, though I suggest you may develop thicker skin with Belial. He is not mean or anything like that. He's just intense. AND He seems to embody at least part of my faith which I thought was interesting. I also incorporated Asmodeus because apparently I was just that into Theistic Satanism and Demonolatry as a whole.
I had a dream, though I guess that was more of a nightmare, that really put things into perspective for me. That dream forced me to look at my fear. It made me realize that the Infernal Divine weren't the correct Beings for me to go to. Except Lucifer because He's actually so fucking sweet, it's unreal. I don't know how to explain that.
While technically none of Them are part of my path as it is now, Lucifer still has a place in my heart. I really feel like They got me through some shit and I felt inspired to name myself after Him.
I got into the Irish end of things but that felt like a dead end so I found myself going back and forth with Norse Heathenry and even the Sumerian religion. (Nergal is a comedian, He's a lot sweeter and kinder than what we might expect. He and Ereshkigal make for a wonderful Couple.)
As I'm sure you lot already know, I am a Hellenic Polytheist that is devoted to Zeus, Hera, and Hestia. Clearly very different from where things were going but it makes sense since I showed genuine interest in the Theoi even back in high school. Practically went full circle? Zeus has been such a huge part of my journey that He is the main reason why I converted. The way I see it, the Theoi saved my life. Especially Zeus since He was the one to stop me and kept checking on me. When I officially converted when I was 22, I became devoted to Him. I gave my soul to Him to look after because He has been the one to be the most vocal and present in my life. If I could, I would become a priest of His that tends to His temple. If I could, I would choose to be a God spouse like in some of the ancient ways. Where everything that I do is for Him. Devoted to Him. Not the husband-husband type of way but like a more devoted than devoted if that makes sense. LIKE if you had to put it in a pyramid fashion then there would be worshiper up to devotee up to priest up to God spouse. I'm not sure how to phrase it without it not making any sense. Because not into Him. I give my life to Him, Papa Zeus has my soul in His hands because I trust Him completely. Because He is practically my Dad. He might as well just sign a document stating that He adopted me.
What appears to be a canon event is when incorporating Deity, Their spouse comes along. So for me, it started with Papa Zeus then around a year later (so I was ~ 23) Mother Hera seemed more present so that turned into incorporating Her even more which turned into becoming devoted to Her as well. At one point, in the middle of all this, I became devoted to Hestia. She was definitely present in my childhood so I found myself completely in awe of Her which turned into devotion.
That's all without getting into a conversation about Ares and Aphrodite. Both of whom have made it very clear that I am to worship Them just as intently. To the point that I have a collection of things that reminded me of Aphrodite so I asked if She wanted me to worship Her and I get multiple very loud 'yes'. Started with dreams and when I randomly had the urge to look at shrines for inspiration, all of them (I shit you not) were for Her. With Ares, at one point it was gender envy but it was also because of a video game portrayal and also because He also helped me through my depression and suicidal behaviours but also because He helped me become inspired and encouraged me to transition. That He would help me.
In addition, both Apollon and Hades were a defining part of my childhood, later influenced by Percy Jackson. I was also shocked when I first tried communicating with Hades the ancient way with the 1-800-are-you-slapping? But ALSO Dionysos?????? Because WHY NOT? I think I was destined, Fated if you will, to become a Hellenic Polytheist even just from how VOCAL They were and are.
I was all over the place for those five years of research let me tell you. The different pantheons and fucking up with something that I really should not have taken so light. Was that a canon event? Maybe.
I thought it would be good to do a little reminder for those who need it. (I mean this with love).
When you come from an Abrahamic background, I urge you to first deconstruct it before you approach any other religion. When you approach a different religion, even other Abrahamic ones, you need to understand that the views/perceptions/biases that you learned from your home religion should not be carried with you.
Leave it at the door.
It is not one and done. It doesn't happen overnight. It can take years to deconstruct, to heal, from your home religion. Considering this, it is not a race. It is not a competition. Take your time.
That is one of the biggest things that I wish people knew. When you take the biases from what you learned before with you into a completely different space, you will make a lot of enemies. You will be pushing rhetoric that does not exist here. In order to really understand the Hellenic religion, you need to let go of the christian biases that you knew before.
For example, your perceptions of the myths. In the Abrahamic lens, you commonly take things literally. You assume that those stories told were real. That those things actually happened. Not here. It is the opposite over here. I cannot stress that enough. When you don't make the effort to let go of the christian perceptions, you cannot grow. You won't understand the Theoi or the religion if you can't let go the christian biases. If you can't let go then you can't heal.
Deconstruct and the Gods will help you heal.
If you're someone who has felt or wondered about your soul then look here. If you're worried about what'll happen to you or where do you go? Or what do you do because nothing makes sense. What'll happen if you haven't figured it out by the time you get to leave this plane? To all that I say, take a deep breath. It is okay to not know. It is okay to be confused. We all have been there. It's quite the maze to figure things out and you know what? It takes time. It is not a race. Just because someone is content in their home religion does not mean you are losing. Just because someone found it in their 20s or hell even earlier does not mean you are losing. Someone finding it for themselves does not take away from your path. Oh? You're 40? 50? 80? That's okay. It is not a race. You are finding yourself now and that is what matters. Take care of yourself and everything else will fall into place. It will work out.
(I don't know where the gif is from but I have a feeling I know where).
