idk if this will help anyone else but I’ve found that as an adhd person to-do lists for the week work a lot better than daily to-do lists.
Like instead of “today I will deep clean the kitchen and do my tax accounting homework” I’ll be like “okay this week I want to deep clean the kitchen, finish work for four classes, go to the hardware store, get a haircut, and go on a brisk walk at least three times” and on each individual day I just pick whatever tasks I feel like doing.
Every weekday I’ve gotta do something. But if I’ve got a list to pick from instead of a mandate for what to do today I can do whichever task I feel more motivated to do today.
Some days I might deep clean the kitchen and finish work for two classes and go on a brisk walk and other days I might just go to the hardware store. But it works better than being like “okay I’m planning out all my days perfectly and productively.” because I just can’t do that.
