I hope we get more charles in ChoT. maybe even a pov. because I hate how the fandom sees him as this one-dimensional "villain", who doesn't care about anyone. he clearly cared about alastair, in his own f*cked up way, but he also wanted a career. and unfortunately, he's right, shadowhunter politics are f*ucked and he'd never become consul if they knew he was gay...

I'd love to read more about him, cause he does truly feel like a tragic character, who chose his career over love.

and now that we know ChoT will be a "very long book", I hope we get to see more of his side of things. how did his sister's death affect him? how does he feel after almost starting a war with the parisian vampires? will he be able to let alastair go or will he fight to get him back? yk.
