Severus Snape abused his power as a teacher. No amount of past bullying, ‘you have your mother’s eyes’ quotes or death scenes can justify his verbally abusive tendencies towards school children.

I just watched Dunkirk for the first time in over a year. What a cryfest this was… Why am I so emotionally unstable? I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever been completely stable/solid, but I’m probably doing really bad right now considering how much I reacted, but I probably don’t notice it because I’m working a ridiculous amount right now which might also be the cause…

Anyway, here’s some stuff that I took away this time (probably again, but oh well). OBVIOUSLY, spoilers ahead

- Using a young actor as our “main” character (Tommy, Fionn Whitehead) genius move, because from the moment we see him I was (again) struck by how YOUNG he is, which a lot of them where/are. Also, stellar performance.

- Geroge’s “I’ll be useful, Sir”. Excuse me? I just whispered “yes, you were” and almost cried (a tear or two might have slipped out).

- Underrated hottie!!! The guy managing/ordering around the first boat from the Mole (I can’t find his real name, so if anyone understands who I mean and know who he is, please, LET ME KNOW?!) * If someone wants to help me out but doesn’t know who I mean, let me know and I’ll put the movie back on a take a picture and upload here so that we can all search form him and appreciate him together.

- When the shivering soldier pushes Geroge, and he’s like “holy shit, if I survive this, then I ended this war with injuring/potentially (accidentally) KILLING a kid who was just trying to help me and others”, like… Imagine having to try and live with that even if things would have gone ok.    And then Peter lying to the Shivering Soldier being like “no, he’s alright” and they both KNOW he’s lying and also, his fucking friend is dying right next to him and they’re KIDS!!!

- The Sea is just a fucking cryfest when you know stuff (George, Mr Dawson’s son and Peter’s brother who was a pilot and died)

- Collins going “Come on Farrier”, I need someone rooting for me like that, please and thank you.

- We’ve got to mention it again, no matter how I feel about Harry Styles’s character, he did a really good job and I forgot he was a pop star/famous before this (mind you, I was never a directioner, so if I had been, I might have felt differently). Would have loved if the gave him a thicker accent tho (if I’ve understood this highlander group-thing right).

- Tommy going “Take me home”. Would have loved if he just whispered it instead, in a like “I’m so fucking done and I’ve just been DRAGGED under water and almost died for an unknown number of days and I just want to cry, okay?!”

- Also, why is Tom Hardy so fucking hot? I just.. I don’t even want to deal with it.
