children giggling near puppet shows or carousel ride
Touch
the bite of cold air on cheeks and fingertips, softened by woolen gloves
the warmth of ceramic Glühwein mugs against cold fingers (often with collectible designs)
soft wool scarves and felted mittens sold by local artisans
the crunch of straw or sawdust scattered on cobblestones to soak up snow
the delicate texture of lace ornaments or hand-blown glass decorations
a gentle flurry of snowflakes landing on coats and eyelashes
brushing against other people, trying to get through the crowd
the heat from a fire pit or heater near a stall
Smell
the warm, spicy scent of mulled wine and cinnamon and orange peel drifting through the air
roasted chestnuts, smoky and sweet, mingling with pine from fresh wreaths
sugary wafts of candied almonds and vanilla from baking stalls
a faint trace of woodsmoke from nearby fire pits or chimneys
pine from wreaths and garlands
fresh pastries and candied apples
warm chocolate and vanilla from dessert stands
the crisp, cold winter air tinged with spice
Taste
mulled wine, non-alcoholic punch, or eggnog liqueur

Let me know more terms of endearment in your languages! And please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.
Please note that they are not all romantic. You can ask in the replies, so a native speaker can answer if it's appropiate for the type of relationship you want your characters to have.
This is so detailed!
Reactions to... hearing a rumor
"Oh my god, I can't wait to tell everyone!"
"Shut up! That can't be true."
"Wait, what? No, no way. That doesn't even make sense."
"Hmm, I don't know about that. That sounds like something someone made up after one too many drinks."
"OMG, that would explain so much!"
"I'm sorry, what? My brain's not processing this."
"Really? I need all the details. Like, everything."
"Who told you that?"
"Oh, sure, and next you're gonna tell me they're secretly royal too, right?"
"No, no, no, that can't be right. They would never! Unless..."
"Well, that's a new one. Someone's gonna need a whole lot of explaining to do."
"Nah, not going to believe any of that."
"Another obviously fabricated rumor? Wow, people really have too much free time on their hands."
"Okay, but we don't actually know if that's true, right? It's just a rumor after all."
"I think I know them well enough to know that this is bullshit."
"That's the rumor? You've gotta be kidding me."
"No fucking way is that true!"
"I did not see that coming!"
"Are you serious? I don't believe that for a second. That's wild!"
"Ooooh, now this is juicy! Tell me everything."
"I think I'll wait until I get the full picture before jumping to conclusions with this one."
"Did you tell anyone else about this?"
"That's like something out of a bad movie."

Hand-holding
The purest form of human connection.
tiny hands in big hands
calloused hands in soft hands
cold hands in warm hands
hands with the perfect ratio to each other for hand-holding
platonic hand-holding
running their thumb over the otherās hand
dancing with their hands holding onto each other
squeezing hand for comfort and encouragement
holding hands across the table
happily doing everything with just one hand, if it means they donāt have to let go
not wanting to lose each other in a big crowd
possessive hand-holding
linking hands together during sex
grabbing hand to show them something
loosely holding onto each otherās hands, laying in oneās lap
only linking the pinkies together, not ready to let go completely
holding hands while skating
excitedly grabbing each otherās hands during a concert, jumping up and down together
playing with each otherās fingers
pressing the otherās hand against their cheek
holding hands while one is balancing on a small wall
grabbing the otherās hand to pull them back from something
holding hands under the table
only realizing it when they have to let go
standing in front of each other, holding both their hands
holding their hands above their head, fingers linked together
passionate hand-holding
grabbing the otherās hand so they donāt fall
holding hands while running through the rain
brushing against each other, linking fingers together for a second
grabbing their hand to grab their attention
not really paying attention, both doing something else, but still holding hands
bandaging the otherās hand and not quite letting go
holding hands while driving
grabbing the otherās hand to pull them back to them
unconsciously searching out each otherās hand while sleeping
not realizing theyāre holding hands till someone points it out
swinging hands back and forth, skipping like children
holding hands in a museum to pull them to the next exhibition
letting go when there is an obstacle in their way and immediately grabbing each otherās hand again when they pass it
loosely holding onto each otherās hand
dragging the other with them, holding their hand
raising the otherās hand to their lips to kiss it softly
holding hands while jumping down from somewhere together
comparing hand sizes, then linking fingers together
secretly holding hands under the table
holding onto the otherās hand so they canāt run away
making a heart with their hands and then linking them together
taking the otherās hand to look for injuries
holding hands to calm each other down

Interesting ideas!
Which Peacock Has the Longest Feathers?
Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus). This type of peacock is known for growing large tails called trains. The train is a collection of elongated, decorative feathers. These feathers are actually upperĀ tail coverts. They can grow up to five feet long on average, or up to seven feet, at the longest in length.
A male peacock will display their trains during courtship rituals to attract a peahen. The ritual is a dance for the female peacock that ruffles the male's feathers to attract a mate.
Reactions to... getting unexpectedly hugged
"Well, this is new."
"You don't need to be afraid, I'm not leaving."
"Oh no, please don't cry. See, I'm hugging you back, please stop crying."
"This is one way to say hello."
"Hmm, it seems that I did miss this."
"Wait... are we doing this? Right now?"
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"Oh, okay. This is nice, I guess."
"What am I supposed to do now? Do I hug you back?"
"Great, now I'm crying too."
"Woah. You're catching me off guard here."
"Did I miss a memo? What's going on?"
"I guess this is alright."
"That's enough, please back off."
"Okay, okay. What do you want?"
"Didn't expect that, but I'll take it."
"Whoa! Um, okay... so this is happening. Hi?"
"Oh! I can't breathe, I can't... please let go!"
"Stop hugging me like this in public. You're ruining my reputation.ā
"If you wanted a hug, all you had to do was ask. No need to sneak up on me like that."
"What's happening? Am I being attacked?"
"Okay, uh, well, now I don't know what to do with my arms. This is fine, right?"

Flirting Moves in Japanese Media
Kabedon: The act of blocking someone with an arm or a leg to gain their attention while the other person's back is against a wall. The flirtatious person can also block some in with multiple limbs or all of their limbs at once. This is usually done by dominating characters with a rather clueless character or someone who tries pushing them away.
A Person Who's Half Human & Half Snake
In mythology, a person who's half human and half snake is called a Lamia. They're also known as Snake People, Nagas, Lamias, Valusians, or Sneople (singular Snerson). These creatures are a type of liminal being. They're usually depicted with a human head, arms and torso with a snake's tail as a lower body. This is similar in many respects to a mermaid, centaur, and some genies.
