When you're googling Google for your Buffy fic to figure out whether the characters would be using Google in the summer of 2000 and then the Wikipedia entry for 'Google (verb)' includes this:

The 1965 Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella actually does a really good job with this, in my opinion. It’s not set in a specified time period, but the costumes are obviously based on Medieval and Elizabethan eras.
