Amongst everything else that people rightfully have an issue with this season, I also have an issue with the clothing choices for Assad.

It truly feels this season that the only thing they got for him was that big ass coat, and the rest of his outfits have just been leftovers from whatever the band or Lestat didn't use.

His clothing and hair in IWTV season 2 were so beautifully styled, and this season it all feels like an afterthought.

At first, I figured it was because Armand is feeling the funk this season, but this doesn't work in the scene above.

Armand styles himself to suit whoever he's with. We know time has passed. He should be wearing clothing that matches Daniel's style, it's what he does.

The book is a mess structurally. I agree this is a very hard book to adapt and I think that is the reason why.

I stand by my criticisms of the show, including Louis, Regina and Armand’s treatment by the writers, but the rest of it was unfortunately just very true to the book. It was a mess, and the book is a mess. It exists to absolve Lestat of his sins (which the show notably did not do) and hold him accountable for very little (which the show regrettably did do) and that is really the primary function of it. There are parts I wish they had included, there are parts I am glad they didn’t. A mixed bag but mostly a good time for what is it, and that in of itself is book accurate.

Guy who watched 5 Hail Mary video logs: comments like that belie a narrow, heteronormative view of relationships. Dr. Grace and Rocky’s bond is something that likely transcends baser human categories like “sexual” or “romantic”. Either way, all this speculation on the nature of their relationship takes away from more important conversations about Dr. Grace’s contributions-
