"There once were Pokémon that married people. There once were people who married Pokémon. This was a normal thing because long ago people and Pokémon were the same."
-Sinnoh Folk Story 3 (a translation of the original Japanese version, as the English localization skirted around saying marriage, saying eating at the same table instead.) This blog is dedicated to clean Pokemon x human fanwork, as well as gifs and screencaps of canon examples (although given the kodomo demographic, ships are usually one-sided and/or only have blushing or hand holding, hugging at the absolute most, as hints!)... ^^
Since I've noticed there weren't any active blogs that were just about sfw, fluffy Pokemon x human ships, much like the ones featured in the anime (Bayleef, Aipom, and Meloetta's crushes on Ash are famous, but there's also Lakoko the illusion cast by Ninetales who nearly married Brock because he looked like her master who died around two centures ago, heavily inspired by kitsune mythology... there's also canon soulmates Korrina and Lucario!), and the Yuki Onna folk tale-esque story of the man who unknowingly married a transformed Froslass.
And if we take this particular scene literally, Ricard Nouveau counts among his past successes as successfully marrying (literally) a man to his Gothitelle. But this particular example might be symbolic, Pokemon Sommeliers do talk about all bonds as "marriages" borrowing from wine stewards (what a sommelier is!) speaking about food-wine marriages.
Regardless, Froslass and Ninetales were clear examples of Pokemon-human marriages, both past and present, in the tradition of transforming trickster spirits and animal bride fairy tales (think of The Seal-Skin; East of the Sun, West of the Moon; The Crane Returns a Favour/The Crane Wife) around the world. ^^
Pokemon are Pocket Monsters, after all, not animals, even if they're monsters inspired by animals, plants, spirits, youkai, yuurei, faeries, common household objects (in the changed being [bakemono] tradition that comes from Shinto animism), and are frequently shown to be human intelligence or even more intelligent in the anime... except that most do not speak human language (save Meowth, who also had his fair share of crushes on humans as well as feline Pokemon!)
So, this blog is here to collect cute, fluffy human x Pokemon ships.
