Usually Pokémon leashes are more in the range of a child leash, a service Pokémon being tethered to their Trainer (though usually they just wear a harness), or a double-ended "leash" held by both for the sake of "holding hands" with small or quadrupedal Pokémon. All of these are usually innocuous, though humans and Pokémon in a relationship might use the double-ended leash.

Lumiose and Legends ZA being such a corrupting force for a lot of people, helping them get into pokefucking, makes me just imagine all these trainers coming to Lumiose and--via Taunie and/or Urbain kidnapping finding them--Hotel Z.

They see this slowly growing community of people who are open and accepting about romantic relationships with their Pokemon, then that in turn inspires them to explore their own feelings about their Pokemon and it just continues to build.

Not just for pokephile reasons, but also because the conniption fit the community is gonna have would be fucking hysterical.

Just imagine the screaming and callouts.
