The yellowjackets fandom hate it when you serve loving black femme instead of repressed dead white girl 💔
I wouldn't exactly call Tai loving. She *did* cheat on her wife. That's not what I'd call loving.
Tai and Simone weren't romantically together at that point. After Simone found biscuit their relationship was done, they only hadn't legally separated. And tai tried to repair things but after realising she was too much of a danger to Simone that's that when she let her be and pursued Van, the only one who could help tai cope with her sleeping walking
I get that, but don't you find it kinda scummy regardless to pursue other people while you're still legally married? Or you can at least say "Hey Simone, there's this person in my past that can help me keep myself and others safe, I need to start seeing her while we process the divorce/can we open the marriage?"
Maybe it's just my moral ocd/trauma from a strict religious upbringing talking, but I personally think she was wrong for sleeping with Van, regardless of the state of her marriage. You're still married, you should respect that relationship dynamic and not sleep with others, no matter how good it is for you.
i mean if the relationship is over the relationship is over; at that point the marriage is just a piece of paper
I dunno, maybe I'm just weird?
Yeah that is incredibly weird. It's very unreasonable to judge anyone for having relationships *after* ending one just because there is a wait to finalise paperwork and dividing up assets takes a while.
Imagine if you *weren't* married to someone but they didn't come get their stuff for a few months. Would it be cheating to see someone else just because they haven't picked up their stuff? Should you ask them for permission to see someone else just because you haven't sold the TV cabinet and split the money yet?

Yes, I feel like it would still be cheating then. There's elements of them still in your life. You still have some sort of connection to them, making it cheating, but albeit less morally wrong than full-blown cheating, but cheating none the less.
But again, that's just my 2 cents. I know my morals are a bit different than most.
That's honestly a bit disturbing.
Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
I want you to understand this. I NEED you to understand this. My mother read me the hobbit as bedtime story, and I started pushing myself to read before pre-school so I could in fact read the hobbit for myself instead of having to wait for bedtime.
I didn't do so right away but jesus wept I PUSHED myself to learn to read SPECIFICALLY so I could read The Hobbit! It is, in fact, a children's story! And children only see page count as 'there is a lot of this fun story to read!'

every day there's always some bullshit happening with my work's system like why does it just constantly fucking break
I do think you have fucked up in creating a genuinely safe and welcoming space online if you have people who are too afraid to reblog a post they agree with, a post that shares sympathy and compassion to a sizable chunk of the trans community, because they know it'll get them ostracized from their own groups
Like why have we created an actual social stigma in loving and caring about trans men and transmascs, and/or nonbinary and intersex people
Why is it that it's seen as a red flag for someone to say "Hey, maybe we should care about all of our trans siblings that are being harmed/murdered/assaulted" and not "Kill all TMEs!!!! Let's make a bomb that kills all the TMEs!! The only ones that matter are the dolls!!!" like are we fucking serious here y'all.
How can this not be a major alarm for people that loving and caring for and respecting your fellow trans people who are not transfems and trans women be seen as a threat to them.
Hello?? Is this thing on?

I’ve seen people on this website circulate provably false things about the Mitch McConnell situation and the fact of the matter is that we don’t know his current status and won’t know until his staff or family releases some actual information.
I’ve seen people circulating the conspiracy theory that his wife left to China to avoid taking him off life support or whatever when she was already in China two days before he was hospitalized and has since returned to the states to be with him. Like y’all aren’t fact checking anything and are just taking tweets at face value.
Genuine question: are there any sources of factual information? Because all the state-controlled media is just the usual "there is no comatose or possibly dead senator in Ba Sing Se :)" and the administration is clearly just happy we're not talking about the Epstein files at the moment.
I think part of the reason the rumor mill is working overtime here is because credible sources of news are so thin on the ground. Which is highlighting a bigger problem about US politics right now: it's difficult or even impossible trying to get your hands on any actual news. Because this administration doesn't put out statements or information; its only concern is PR.
And it's far worse PR to just let the ominous silence about the issue stretch on and on for weeks than it would be to actually show us whatever state he's currently in.
This is an administration that has no problem putting people in front of the camera when they are clearly in no shape to be doing anything other than convalescing. Trump is literally decomposing, and they're still perfectly happy to let him stagger around in front of the cameras.
So the only conclusion I can reach is that if McConnell was even aware enough to blink yes or no from a hospital bed, they'd have shown that by now.
This is what CNN says and its seriously so weird
An independent journalist published an audio of the paramedics responding to the situation. They were responding to a unconscious person in cardiac arrest and the audio indicates they performed CPR
This is what Red Cross says about CPR plus NPR article talking about CPR survival rate (trigger warning for disturbing details about patients deaths in the NPR article)
The odds of a person being restored to life after CPR is 7.6% as per NPR and cardiac arrest is 90% fatal according to Red Cross. Additionally McConnell was very old and frail. NPR says chances are much more dismal for older patients as CPR can be brutal on the body for an older patient
Chances are even lower if McConnell didn't start receiving CPR until paramedics arrived, every minute the brain is deprived of oxygen the situation worsens
People witnessing the ambulance taking McConnell away said the paramedics didn't seem to be acting very urgently which they thought was strange. The sirens were not on when the ambulance left. All of this from CNN article
Assuming the audio of the paramedics is real -- news media seems to treat it as reliable -- it would be highly unusual if McConnell wasn't either dead or incapacitated
Like it's the evidence of the situation vs. what a bunch of politicians are claiming without evidence. It seems crazy to lie about something like that! But we know that politicians lie.
Hey does anyone remember when a transgender adult man with cerebral palsy got top surgery of his own accord and then posted about it in celebration, and then transphobes:
Lied and said he was non-verbal
Lied and said he was incapable of communication
Lied and said he had not gotten the surgery of his own accord
Lied and said his "guardians decided [he] was trans"
Got MGT to call a procedure done on a consenting adult "criminal" just because he had cerebral palsy
Mass reported his video and his account, which he ran, until facebook terminated his account for "child exploitation" despite it being his account, him being an adult, and him not being exploited
Ableism and transphobia are inseperable. Just like ableism was used to prop up bigotry throughout history, now it is being used to deny transgender people bodily autonomy the same way it is used to deny disabled people bodily autonomy. It's not a coincidence that so much of the rights transphobic rhetoric is focused on labelling us as "mentally ill". They don't think any disabled people, let alone mentally ill people should have independence or liberation.
<p>Micah Leroy, who ran the account known as “Disabled Trans Boy” on Instagram, became the subject of a right-wing hate campaign after he po
Even if a category of person was incapable of suffering from a particular medical issue someone mislabeling what they do suffer from is still not even a problem worth getting upset about to any degree. Like who even cares if a woman says she has whatever the fuck, even if it were hypothetically something she definitely does not have the anatomy to be affected by it? It might be slightly weird but getting offended by it is silly. If someone isn't totally making up being sick for attention+money then it's not really anyone's business. The bigger issue is policing what people claim about their own bodies and experiences. There does not need to be a tribunal rating everything someone says online for objective accuracy when it doesn't actually hurt anyone else. Maybe that person is the very first person of their category to be affected by that ailment. You don't know and shouldn't care.
