1: âFound my 5th Grade journal and friends it is a TRIPâ. Attached to the tweet is a picture of a journal with cursive handwriting in it.
It reads âMay 7. Today is the National Day of Prayer. I prayed at the flagpole for 30 min.
May 13, 1992. Today is the day my dad will be unfrozen out of a block of ice.â
2: âBecause it has caused a great deal of discussion: Dad was frozen in a steel coffin inside a massive block of ice. He was raising money for the Ronald McDonald House, people paid to look at him through a hole. He could pee but not poop.â
3: âA weird guy hypnotized him in a hotel room before he did it so he wouldnât panic. He was not claustrophobic before, but he was EXTREMELY claustrophobic forever after. HE GAVE HIMSELF CLAUSTROPHOBIA. All of this is true.â
4: âHe was in there for three days, by the way. Like Ice Jesusâ

Roomba literally just sitting in a tub of water while Pepe holds down her towel.
You... called a cat Roomba?????
Yeah my boss forgot that I'm banned from naming cats. Roomba is blind and beeps a lot so she just kinda moves along until she hits a wall. She also grooms any cat she bumps into.
Op why are you banned from naming cats? Cuz naming that sweet little baby Roomba is fucking accurate af and hella cute
I have been banned SEVERAL times.
1. i named a cat Potato.
i donât see a reason to explain why i named him that.
2. i named my three-footed kitten Yardstick
3. i named this kitten Kickstand. His leg was permanently stuck in that position, like a bikeâs kickstand. i mean, it was until it got amputated.
4. I named a kitten with many toes Terry Toetopolis. also featuring Kickstand again.
5. i called a kitten âbastardâ so many times that it was the only one heâd respond to. in my defense, he was 100% bastard.
6. a coworker and i had a game going to see how many kittens and cats we could name after harry potter characters before we were caught. (7. the answer is 7. âHedwigâ is the name that got us caught)
i think thatâs it, but i might be forgetting a few incidences.Â
Good story op

Hilarious Cat Snapchats That Will Leave You With The Biggest Smile ( part 1)
this might be a hard pill to swallow for college students but getting drunk all the time isnt a personality trait itâs alcoholism
Hereâs another pill: companies and ad teams know that your 20s are extremely stressful and they purposely target you because they donât care about making us all alcoholics as much as they care about profiting off of us.
cooler pill that Iâd wish Iâd known about when I was younger: if youâre struggling with alcohol, AA isnât your only option. AA can be a bit dogmatic and sometimes hostile to certain communities, especially the LGBT.
thereâs a group called SMART Recovery that has free meetings just like AA, but itâs all science-based and secular.
and hereâs the thing for college students: unlike with AA, itâs okay if your goal is moderation and not abstinence. no one is going to make you feel like a bad guy for being young and just wanting help getting healthier, but perhaps not wanting to commit to being totally abstinent. google SMART Recovery, guys. theyâre awesome. :)
Reblog for non-religious version of AA
For all of you who are confussed.
âMy friend told me a story he hadnât told anyone for years. When he used to tell it years ago people would laugh and say, âWhoâd believe that? How can that be true? Thatâs daft.â So he didnât tell it again for ages. But for some reason, last night, he knew it would be just the kind of story I would love. When he was a kid, he said, they didnât use the word autism, they just said âshyâ, or âisnât very good at being around strangers or lots of people.â But thatâs what he was, and is, and he doesnât mind telling anyone. Itâs just a matter of fact with him, and sometimes it makes him sound a little and act different, but thatâs okay. Anyway, when he was a kid it was the middle of the 1980s and they were still saying âshyâ or âwithdrawnâ rather than âautisticâ. He went to London with his mother to see a special screening of a new film he really loved. He must have won a competition or something, I think. Some of the details he canât quite remember, but he thinks it must have been London they went to, and the filmâŚ! Well, the film is one of my all-time favourites, too. Itâs a dark, mysterious fantasy movie. Every single frame is crammed with puppets and goblins. There are silly songs and a goblin king who wears clingy silver tights and who kidnaps a baby and this is what kickstarts the whole adventure. It was âLabyrinthâ, of course, and the star was David Bowie, and he was there to meet the children who had come to see this special screening. âI met David Bowie once,â was the thing that my friend said, that caught my attention. âYou did? When was this?â I was amazed, and surprised, too, at the casual way he brought this revelation out. Almost anyone else I know would have told the tale a million times already. He seemed surprised I would want to know, and he told me the whole thing, all out of order, and I eked the details out of him. He told the story as if it was heâd been on an adventure back then, and he wasnât quite allowed to tell the story. Like there was a pact, or a magic spell surrounding it. As if something profound and peculiar would occur if he broke the confidence. It was thirty years ago and all us kids whoâd loved Labyrinth then, and who still love it now, are all middle-aged. Saddest of all, the Goblin King is dead. Does the magic still exist? I asked him what happened on his adventure. âI was withdrawn, more withdrawn than the other kids. We all got a signed poster. Because I was so shy, they put me in a separate room, to one side, and so I got to meet him alone. Heâd heard I was shy and it was his idea. He spent thirty minutes with me. âHe gave me this mask. This one. Look. âHe said: âThis is an invisible mask, you see? âHe took it off his own face and looked around like he was scared and uncomfortable all of a sudden. He passed me his invisible mask. âPut it on,â he told me. âItâs magic.â âAnd so I did. âThen he told me, âI always feel afraid, just the same as you. But I wear this mask every single day. And it doesnât take the fear away, but it makes it feel a bit better. I feel brave enough then to face the whole world and all the people. And now you will, too. âI sat there in his magic mask, looking through the eyes at David Bowie and it was true, I did feel better. âThen I watched as he made another magic mask. He spun it out of thin air, out of nothing at all. He finished it and smiled and then he put it on. And he looked so relieved and pleased. He smiled at me. â'Now weâve both got invisible masks. We can both see through them perfectly well and no one would know weâre even wearing them,â he said. âSo, I felt incredibly comfortable. It was the first time I felt safe in my whole life. âIt was magic. He was a wizard. He was a goblin king, grinning at me. âI still keep the mask, of course. This is it, now. Look.â I kept asking my friend questions, amazed by his story. I loved it and wanted all the details. How many other kids? Did they have puppets from the film there, as well? What was David Bowie wearing? I imagined him in his lilac suit from Live Aid. Or maybe he was dressed as the Goblin King in lacy ruffles and cobwebs and glitter. What was the last thing he said to you, when you had to say goodbye? âDavid Bowie said, âIâm always afraid as well. But this is how you can feel brave in the world.â And then it was over. Iâve never forgotten it. And years later I cried when I heard he had passed.â My friend was surprised I was delighted by this tale. âThe normal reaction is: thatâs just a stupid story. Fancy believing in an invisible mask.â But I do. I really believe in it. And itâs the best story Iâve heard all year.â

a list of current immortals
florence welch: probably like 200 BCE celtic queen
keeanu reeves: 1500 renaissance hoe
jeff goldblum: late 1800â˛s i would guess
harry styles: fairly new immortal, 1970â˛sÂ
lorde: 1920â˛s flapper era
hozier: man who even knows, rough estimate is like, 400 BCE
john mulaney: 1930â˛s/40â˛s, still bitter about the great depression probably and if he could put it in a bit with out being #exposed he would
paul rudd: newest to the immortal club, didnât age past the 1990â˛s
I feel like this list is forgetting Sir Patrick Stewart who I believe has not aged since 7000 BCE.. After all his twin brother was the Kennewick man..
as a self-appointed expert on Hozier, i would say that date is possibly accurate. Â
many of Hozierâs songs reference being buried in the earth (In a Week, Work Song), and some are directly inspired by bog bodies (Like Real People Do, Run). two of the most famous Irish bog bodies, Old Croghan Man and Clonycavan Man, are dated between 392 and 175 BCE, and both are speculated to have been kings ritually sacrificed to the goddess of the land. in Take Me to Church, Hozier demonstrates a willingness to offer sacrifices to a goddess, and in Foreignerâs God, he thinks fondly upon the image of a pre-Christian Ireland (âwhen the land was God-less and freeâ). as well, Old Croghan Man is estimated to have been about 6â˛6, and Hozier is about 6â˛5.Â
the only possible flaw in this theory is that in a Facebook Q&A (here at 5:28), Hozier says that he is over 3000 years old. 400 BCE only puts him at ~2400. it could be that after so many years heâs lost track of how many thousands, but another possibility is that he is more contemporaneous with an older bog body, the Cashel Man, also presumed to be a sacrificed king. that would put him closer to 4000 than 3000, but again, we could forgive an immortal for getting his millenia wrong.
in any case, it seems likely to me that Hozier is an ancient Irish king who was ritually sacrificed to the old gods, but somehow returned (possibly through intervention by said old gods) to give us music subtly hinting at his experiences.
this hozier addition is frighteningly detailed and Iâm here for it
