I pass pretty well for a 17 yr old trans boy who has yet to be begin medically transitioning any further than having a little note at the bottom of my chart stating i prefer he/him pronouns. Anytime it is revealed that i am a trans guy (online) or that I still have a period (irl) more often than not i get the exact same response.

“So you can get pregnant?”

I get this solely from cis people (minus my ex, who was trans fem. That’s a story for another day though) Cis guys and gals alike. Every time it makes me deeply uncomfortable.

Why is that an acceptable response to finding out a guy is trans?? it would never in a million years even cross my mind to ask that of even cis women. Genuinely, being pregnant would cause most, if not all, of my transmasc friends the worst dysphoria of their lives. I have trans masc friends who would genuinely rather die than be pregnant.

And then it occurred to me literally just now.

As an autistic guy, I have sensory sensitivity

Chips trigger that sensitivity MAJORLY for me.

To elaborate, the way chips crunch, especially on my back teeth, is deeply, DEEPLY, uncomfortable, practically painful.

Like, not painful, but the way it translates in my neurodivergent brain is into pain because it triggers my sensory problems.

Also can’t stand the way chips cling to your teeth afterwards. Just not a fun experience over all.

oh my god THANK YOU person who does not know my menstrual situation!! I, having had to deal with periods for the past seven years of my life, had never considered highly popular period product TAMPONS!!

I then explained to this person that I cannot use tampons, like, incapable of doing so, because of the severe dysphoria it causes and the fact that, even in the smallest size, using tampons is SERIOUSLY painful for me.

Me: Ooh, you got a mug?

Mom, confused: Yea?? Oh yeahhh you didn’t see me grab it

Me: Nop-

Mom: Cuz you were too busy flirting with that guy

mom: he practically begged to tie your shoe.

me: ….oh.
