as a writer, art should never be kept behind a paywall. buying the book, and its subsequent royalties, is nice, but readers should never be restricted to a physical copy. reading is education, is vital for cognizance and critical thought. beyond that, at its simplest, reading is entertainment. everyone should read. poor people deserve to read, too.

also (SPOILERS). nothing was foreshadowed, the fan ultimately turned out to a nothing-burger villain who is defeated in like three seconds (ocpd my ASS), elias voit's daughter is now involved even though we haven't seen or heard from her all season, luke was returned to life by his dead dog (his suicidal heroism is not discussed before or after the fact) even though there's no way in HELL he should have survived that explosion.
