How long have you played Magic?

Just over  a year and I have been playing competitively for less than half of that.

Do you follow the story/novels?

Between two jobs, my horses, my dogs and my final year in University I have no time to follow the story unfortunately! I need to find time to play magic!

What's your favourite aspect of the game?

I love playing competitively. I love most of the people and I love the strategy involved in the game plus all the synergy and nonsense that comes with playing.

What do you think of planeswalker cards?

I despised them when I started playing. It took me a few minutes to understand the nonsense of essentially having another player on the board that was so powerful. Now I'm all for Garruk and Elspeth!

Do you know a lot of other female players?

Our last FNM had 8 ladies! Isn't that awesome? I like to think of myself as an advocate for the game for us women and have come to know quite a few players, both at tournaments locally as well as out of town and online.

How do you feel Wizards markets the game, more to males or females?

As a feminist I have always kind of thought Wizards was very respectable as far as marketing towards different genders goes. Clearly the game is undeniably dominated by men but I think with the influence of more female players they might see that as inspiration for some more fun rewards for women who play. 

What's your favourite deck? Do you have a specific game moment you'll always remember?
