i hadn’t been to a sharks game since like 2023 (??) and it was soooo nice to be back!! i love this current team so much despite everything!

during warmups klingberg and wennberg went no buckets and it was wild seeing their full faces that close

asky and ned warming up/chatting together, askarov you are so beautiful.

made some crazy eye contact with will after he was hunched over mouth breathing and squinting trying to read a sign (get some contacts diva, it was like 6 feet away)

will and mack quite literally barely acknowledge or talk to anyone else, it’s wild to see in person. like they were constantly looking to find the other, orbiting, making faces across the ice (fork and spoon found in kitchen). like watching their nonverbal communication from opposite sides of the rink is actually crazy. best friends to ever best friend.

didn’t have the best view of the bench but at one point sherwood was sitting in between willmack and had to lean forward so they could do their weird little smelling salts ritual

will talked to the refs more than anyone else, responsible king

sherwood always looks so exasperated and it’s so funny. like he was in the box looking mad as hell!!

seeing warso in person was such a jumpscare. interesting to see the coaching staff interact with each other and the players though.

willmack always the last two on the ice, no surprise there

Honestly getting home and seeing the media stuff, I don't think I can beat that in terms of delicious moments/narray material. But I will say (echoing dozens of others here) they really are INTO each other. It was honestly hilarious looking at the benches and everyone is seated normal but insufferable 1 and 2 are constantly leaning on or tilted into one another. And don't get me started in the amount of stick tabs Mack gives Will or the way he just always seeks him out. Disgusting (Im actually obsessed).

They were just so perfectly WillMack and I kind of loved how...normal? They were. Like...NOT normal bc no other two players are doing/acting like them but for them it's normal. Mack will always find Will and Will will always respond and there's just something so sweet with how domestic if felt seeing them interact

i've noticed throughout the time without will being here, mack has changed his warmup routine; the first night will was gone, mack spent considerable time stick handling alone in a corner when he usually would be passing with will. while he still does some stick handling in his corner, it's much more abbreviated now and he spends more time shooting around with the team. he does however still flip the pucks into the net at the very end like how they used to do together. will come back your boy misses you

anytime mack touches the puck and starts moving it up the ice the entire arena gets sooo loud. it is electric every time he's in control and you can feel it in the tank (even if it didn't pay off tonight, he's still just so incredible to watch)

at one point near the end of the game, mack's line was skating out to take a faceoff and mack hooked his chin on cherny's shoulder while they were talking. i wish i'd gotten a picture, they're so cute to me augh

after one of the sharks power plays in the third, when mack came off he slammed the gate. it was very very loud and swung open again and ned had to close it

he looked utterly despondent the last 10ish minutes of the game. at one point he was just hunched forward on the bench and i thought he was looking at video but he shifted forward without moving anything so i think he was literally just contemplating

we HATE the golden knights. which is well established, but one fun detail: during the anthem's lyrics "gave proof through the night," everyone boos at "night" lmfaooo it's so good
