The first pic is of Yuri Solotov, Ivan's son. Ivan Solotov is the one that set the trap in the beginning of Lost Planet 1. He was one of NEVEC's scientists involved with the Frontier Project--a plan to terraform the snow planet of EDN III regardless of consequences. What all did Wesker do? Betray like there's no tomorrow baby. STARS? Bye. Umbrella? Don't know her. Spencer? Who? Yuri is just as interesting though. 30 years after this betrayal, Yuri finds Wayne frozen in his Vital Suit (VS). Wayne comes back from a mission and catches Yuri speaking with NEVEC soldiers, prompting that Yuri was playing both sides. The rest of the team learns of his betrayal when his belongings are suddenly gone and Wayne tells them. Although in the end, Yuri betrays NEVEC to give Wayne an attachment that is the final piece to his harmonizer and VS. He gave Wayne what he needed to defeat NEVEC Commander Isenberg in one final mech suit battle. Fast forward 10 years, there's a NEVEC team called Task Force First Descent (TFFD). They're all clones of Ivan Solotov that are used as expendables, prioritizing them for suicide missions and the like. At the end, when the Over-G Akrid still hasn't been taken care of with all their firepower, the TFFD sacrifice themselves by bringing down the NEOS space station. They save the planet.
