10 solid nuggets of wisdom to help get you through the hard times of life. 1. Life Long Passion. Mother Theresa once said, “I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world.” Look at Martin Luther King JR... Ghandi... Mother Theresa. One trait they all had in common was a strong sense of purpose. We all know what we would live for, but not all of us know what we would die for. Until you know what you would die for....you haven't really started living. A strong sense of purpose + life's challenges= Passion. 2. Deliberate Body Language. Discipline yourself to be in total command of your body language. A person who is aware and deliberate of the negative and positive signals their body language is communicating to the world, higher their chances of succeeding in social environments. Being in command of your body language will either strengthen or distant your relationship with others. 3. Social Enthusiasm. Being socially enthusiastic lifts others up, and in turn they return the favor. 4. Good Days are a Choice. There are those who see themselves as a victim of the worlds unfairness, and there are those who succeed in life. Let's face it everyone in the world has problems. These negative and positive choices affect oneself and others. No one can choose your mindset for you. So choose to be pro active and take care of what you care about. Have a positive outlook or else you are unintentionally choosing the alternative. 5. Soul Strength. Life is hard. Get soulful, pray for God strength, and step out on faith against seemingly impossible negative situations. Always search for truth and wisdom. 6. Community. Find people who will make you a better person you are not alone and you are not going crazy. 7. Adapt. Looking at every mistake as learning opportunities is a gift of enrichment one can give to themselves. 8. Inspiration. Feed your mind with life inspiration daily. TED Talks, Jesus Christ, PopTech, MPR, creative people, music, etc... 9. Disagree. Not everything we hear in our head is true. It's okay to disagree with the negative thoughts and ideas in your head ... intentionally pour your energy into what you actually want to believe. 10. Own it. Like what you like and own it. There is only one of you and you are awesome! Ace Perkins 2015© Aceperkins.tumblr.com
