The adults in this reboot of the franchise are FULLY accountable for choosing to do this show and accepting a pay cheque over supporting a minority group. Even if they claim they support trans rights, they’re cowards and don’t actually support them at all.

The kids do NOT deserve abuse or hate, whether it’s because you’re comparing them to Dan/Rupert/Emma or because you’re boycotting due to the author’s views. They are literal CHILDREN.

season 3, 4 and 5 have exactly the same scene 3 times. and the third one is not what you think.

season 3. el goes to the void. she finds billy. she touches him.

flips through his memories.

falls into the california memory.

finds a source.

season 4. el goes to the void. she finds max. she touches her.

If you’ve seen the 2001: A Space Odyssey, HAL 9000 is an ai computer that ‘malfunctions’ as it’s programmed to tell the truth, but at the same time it’s hiding the missions true purpose - so as a direct result it decides it needs to kill the entire crew to protect the mission.

Stranger Things under the surface is a commentary on the corruption behind constant surveillance and obeying ‘the machine’. Hawkins Lab, Brenner and Project Nina, even Project Rainbow - abuse this power. And yeah The Duffers also mentioned the dangers of ai in their speech.

And Brenner uses his ‘authority’ and ‘technology’ to corrupt minds for his own gain. I’m sure Matthew who plays the character - is very aware of his true motivations.
