SWORDTEMBER DAY 13: PRIDE

Divine Transmutation, of blessed change and truest form 🏳️‍⚧️⚧️ Cold sun falls on my face, dancing in bright patterns through the water. In my chest I feel an ache, unlike anything I’ve felt before. The water is all I’ve known, cold, and dark, hidden from those that might seek to hurt me. I swim towards where it’s safe, where I am fed, left to exist. The deep blue surrounds me, and the ache grows, suffocating, choking, my legs thrash, up to the light. I feel air on my skin, and gasp, filling my lungs. For the first time, I feel myself breathe.

I've been in love with @panthermouthh 's art and her Creature for a long time, so I had to give a makeup test a whirl! He's like a beautiful, patchwork rockstar.

I need you guys to understand why this is Doubly insane to me-- my earliest sketches when i first read the book during covid were hugely inspired by Muirin's old make up test videos ! I remember stumbling upon them and thinking, oh, that is IT!! It's crazy how things go around in circles in ways you'd never expect. ;;

During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.

His family described Lorenzo as a hardworking family man who didn’t deserve to be killed. All he wanted was to provide for his wife and see his sons become great people. His eldest son recognized his father by his cries and pleas when trying to identify who the victim was.

The Salgado Araujo family has set up a gofundme to help with funeral and legal costs, and to help keep their family supported since Lorenzo was the sole provider.
