sirius knows minnie’s office window faces the quidditch pitch, and that’s partly why he was every bit the show-off james was during practice, he just kept pushing the limits to see which one of his tricks would finally send minnie bursting out onto the grass, screaming his full name in that sharp, frantic voice and ordering him off the broom right this instant. sirius loved minnie’s attention but he never knew how to ask for it without getting another detention. he still needed his “parental love” to be wrapped as the punishments because that’s the only way he has learnt to accept it
