The Back Door to Cottage Grove
Dirt Adventurers! Join us Saturday, June 3 for our favorite local loop, βThe Back Door to Cottage Grove.β
The 55-mile short route features a start at an artisan bakery, all the best dirt between Eugene and the βGrove, and a flat spin home on pavement. Meet at 7am to ride at 7:30.
The 66-mile long route starts at a coffee shop and and a chill roll through town before picking up the short route. A few extra miles of bonus dirt and climbing punctuate the end of the ride before dropping back into the Willamette bike path. Meet at 8:30am to ride at 9.
Both routes are encouraged to visit theΒ Brewstation and Coast Fork Feed for tasty foods and mid-ride recovery ales in Cottage Grove. They open at 11am and are just a few blocks south of Main on 6th.
Surfaces on the first half range from pea gravel to chunk to peanut butter. Minimum recommended tire width is 35c. Watch out for headwinds on the otherwise easy second half.
Join us for suds and stories after the ride at the Oakshire Public House, across the street from the Wandering Goat at 2nd and Madison in Eugene.Β
