I'm very excited to announce that the first release of my SxF fic, "A Spy's Respite," is now available 😀 (with art by @buf309-art-binder). This first release contains the Preface, Prologue, and Act 1 .

Story Synopsis: It's a typical morning in the Forger house. Loid and Yor prepare to send Anya to school before heading to their respective jobs. But unbeknownst to everyone (except Anya), "Twilight" and "Thorn Princess" have secret missions that day…missions that will cause their paths to unexpectedly cross. When that happens, will the "fake" family that Twilight spent so long cultivating ultimately mean nothing when clashing with the interests of his mission? Or will his true, unspoken feelings forge a new passion inside of him that he never knew he had?

As you can probably tell by the synopsis, I intended this story to be a relatively straightforward Twiyor identity reveal fic. I wasn't trying to do anything groundbreaking or complex, just wanted to convey my own ideas/desires for how Twilight and Yor's identity reveal could play out 😁

The AO3 page has more details about the story, but I'll say a few things here as well...

-The fic contains references to recent chapters of the manga. While I think you'd be able to follow the story fine even if you weren't caught up, there will be a few lines that may confuse/spoil you. So read it at your own risk if you're not caught up with the manga.

-If I had to give the story a rating, I would say PG-13. It definitely contains violence, but nothing more intense than what you'd see in typical shonen anime/manga. But wanted to mention it in case characters getting seriously injured is a deal-breaker for you (there will be no major character deaths though).

-As I mentioned in my announcement post about the fic, I plan to release the full story before the end of the year. So far, Buf and I are on track to keep that deadline. You can expect Act 2 to release before the end of September, and Act 3 (the final act) before the end of November.

BUT WARRING LIKE THIS IS THE BEST WE HUMANS ARE CAPABLE OF.

EVEN IF THERE WERE RESOURCES LEFT OVER... EVEN IF THERE WERE GOVERNMENTAL REFORM OR A TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION, I CAN'T IMAGINE AN END TO WAR.
