Decided to make an actual record of "recent" emotional scenes with anya and loid bc im literally starving for more scenes with them

Recent: ch108 or later. I started here bc this was the most recent emotional-ish scenes I could remember off the top of my head and I wanted to check if there was anything I forgot

Chapter 108 - Twilight reflects about Anya still being a child after Jeeves' comment. Later he remembers his childhood and asks anya if she enjoyed the festival (December 2024)

109 - he smiles fondly at anya (although it couldve been at yor)

124 - It doesn't quite fit the bill but I think its notable. When anya asks if Henderson is a criminal, loid is silent for a moment, he does this again when anya says she'll just ask him if he did something bad

That's pretty much it, after this the radio station arc begins and they only have very brief interactions from then to the latest chapter

I think I need to go back further bc that was less than I expected

#I'd argue Anya picking her parents up after the broadcast hijacking and her voice helping pull him from his spiral was emotional #because it ties to how after the bus jacking 'pretty much everyones families picked them up' and his Family picked him up #but that's not the same as them having a proper hug or snuggle #I wonder if you went back to the wheeler case if his closeness scenes with her get fewer after that #I mean he's sweet with her and gentle with her about exams during that part its not nothing #but between the wheeler arc exposing his 'weakness' and Hemlocks introduction about 'power through isolation'#coming to a head this arc where his Not relying on Yor and just ASKING her to help him leave the party literally lands him in hospital #I wonder if the desert you're feeling isn't based in Loid Genuinely trying to Not get closer to Anya #I feel like the hospital landing could be a low point after which we start seeing growth. But he could choose to keep digging.#both options intrigue me

ive always rly liked the idea of a member of a group of adventurers having what everyone assumes is very well trained hawk and then at the end of their journey its casually revealed that thats actually just his buddy whos a shapeshifter and just rly likes being a hawk

the guy also like thinks everyone knows bc he never tries to hide the fact that the hawk is a person but everyone assumes hes always just joking. like the others being like "damn its crazy how he knows exactly what you want him to do its like he knows english or something." and the guy is just like "well yeah thats his first language so ofc he's fluent??" and they all go "haha good one" and move on, leaving him confused
