Alas my brain is rotating the 'what if Loid came home and the apartment had been raided and he's not certain who did it- (the SSS? But they'd be arresting him now if they'd found anything. Unless they're planning on taking him... Did one of his marks track him home? Edgar. What if-) and the protocol is to abandon a compromised base. But this mission...

Gathers the incriminating evidence of his. It looks a lot like a normal robbery but there's no way to be sure. Especially since they broke into his safe (and got a face full of paint for their efforts)

Rushes out the emergency exit. Not down the stairs. Can't be seen leaving. Right as Anyas bus pulls up.

Grabs her with zero hesitation. In his emergency bag is Chimera and her toothbrush. "One of Papas friends is very sick. We have to go now."

Anya with wide eyes about how their house was broken into like that first time: "Okay." Glances over her shoulder. "What about Mama and Bond?"

"I'll call her when we're at the station and have Franky check on him." (He's missing. The robbers have some very clear bite marks on their arms. Limps to Yor as soon as she comes home and whines and she takes him to a vet.)

But God the insane lore drops Loid and Yor are going to have when the wall comes down and peace is firmly established. Sure, Anya can't drop most of the awesome shit they think about but like

"Oh yeah Mama protected those elk. She fought one once." (Oh yes I did)

"Oh yeah Papa worked at that Michel star restaurant." (That does explain the quality of food he makes doesn't it...)

"Oh they're doing a documentary... Didn't Mama kill that man?" (PLEASE DONT SAY THAT DEAR HAHAHA WHAT A KIDDER)

"... Papa didn't you steal that guys trousers once?" (Yes, to save his life now never bring that up again)

Although personally I think the most shocking lore drop Loid could give to Anya is just "I didn't like studying as a kid either."

And Loids a pushover and wouldn't mind that much anyway since she really just wanted a cake and for him to be home for the party which he can do. She has a great time, they play some games, and Anya eats too much cake.

As they're cleaning up Loid asks Yor what She'd like to do for their (actual) one year anniversary next week. And as she's going 'Oh! Is that next week already? That's- wait a second.'

Didn't Anya say this was her First Gottacha date anniversary? Did you not celebrate last year?

I mean... I celebrate by taking her home and buying her peanuts. And a spy wars poster. It wasn't exactly... Filled with fanfare.
