How does Hiccup interact with windy? Or Soos, for that matter
So sorry for the late response. I wanted to reply to this and had an answer ready but due to my life, I forgot.
Hiccup with Soos- As you may know Hiccup is a tinkerer, a hands on person and is a jack of all trades in sewing, repairing and making due to his previous blacksmith experience as he was little β¦well littler. As a person who hated to stand, watch and do nothing in the shack and wanted to do something useful, he started to help out Soos who was getting overwhelmed with the work-load as a handy-man. Despite their language barrier (before Hiccup learnt English) they managed to work together great. Soos was very kind and patient when teaching him in his own Soos way; tools, plumbing, electricity, television among other things that immediately spiked the young inventorβs interest. This lead to a lot of things in the shack being dismantled which Grunkle Stan was not pleased about. However, it did land him a job on helping Soos out in the shack only if he reassembled everything especially the TV.
Despite the weird childish character which completely differed from the adults back at Berk, Hiccup enjoys his company especially since Soos never made fun of him or mocked him for his size and always appreciated his hard work. Working and learning with Soos felt similar of when he used to spend his time with Gobber. He noted they were some similarities especially when it came to telling crazy paranormal stories.
Hiccup with Wendy - At first, Hiccup avoided Wendy by keeping their conversations short or just politely greet her. Despite being approximately the same age, Hiccup assumed sheβd be like the other teens back at Berk and would be bullied again, especially when he watched her hanging out with her friends in the Gift Shop (which Stan yelled at her for). They all appeared to be bullies, especially Robbie who he swears to Odin sounds so much familiar. Her fiery spirit, stubbornness, bravery and her axe skills reminded him of the cold distant Astrid. However, she was more outgoing and friendly to him and didnβt treat him like a mistake. Wendy surprised him when she stood up for him when Robbie was insulting him despite them being relatively strangers. Hiccup was curious of her axe skills which she was glad to show off which lead them to slowly becoming good friends. From Wendyβs perspective, she liked to hanging with Hiccup especially with his maturity, kindness, good advice and his beautiful sarcasm that has no limits. However, he can be too mature so she doesnβt let him forget about being a rebelling teenager by dragging him to join her in some illegal activities . She's also a great help in keeping the twins occupied. ("The haunted convenience store was ONE TIME. LET IT GO, Hiccup. Such a mother hen.")
Mabel tries to get them together as she quote βThey would make such a cute coupleβ and Dipper gets a bit jealous due his crush on Wendy especially when she treats Hiccup like an equal and him like a little kid. However, the male twin, despite the temptation, never acts out of his envy feelings since he knows Hiccup is good person- he never mocked him like Mabel and Stan, he was always kind to his sister with her fantasies and him with his paranoia and crazy theories of the supernatural and always had the right words to say. (He secretly looks up to him but would die than admit it).
Hiccup doesnβt develop a crush on her as he never imagined himself of living to his 20s and getting married to someone and he was too busy dealing with the twins and the whole other world situation to think about it. On the other hand, thereβs still a chance Wendy might (I dunnoβ¦ itβs still an idea).
Hope this helps to answer your question.
