so this guy right he makes ancient egyptian themed furry costumes. he makes all kinds but mostly he specializes in Horus heads. it's his passion really. he loves to make the beautiful falcon head of the Sun God. anyway so he's at a con one day and he sees this whole bunch of people in middle kingdom dress with these indistinguishable animal heads. he's like. oh man these folks could really use a new source, i can hardly tell what animal those are! so he goes over and he says "hey guys! i see you are into ancient egyptian mythological themed furry costumes--if any of you are interested in being the radiant Son of Ra, I am the BEST in the business!"
and the group of people look at each other, then at him. awkward. finally one of them says: "uh. no thanks. we're all Set."
This has been sent to me four times today, so I'm condemning OP to be judged by the 42 and fall into Nuun.
I think every laugh will make OPās heart a bit lighter.

Judge OPās heart
I laughed, I lighten his heart.
His heart shall be heavier for this.
My kids are still quite young (under school age), and I've been careful to try to make sure they only have kind role models. This has resulted in typical mean language being absent from their vocabulary, such as "you're stupid/ugly/I hate you", but they've started inventing their own ways to be mean lol, such as "you're not my brother anymore, you're a stranger to me now", and hearing that out of a toddler's mouth is so cutting lol
My favorite tags so far
This is a great case-in-point about why designating certain words forbidden is an ineffective strategy. Words donāt dictate thoughts and feelings; they express them. The thoughts and feelings remain, even if the mode of expression is taken away, and a new mode of expression for the thought will be found.

Din and Luke cover themselves with their respective cape and cloak while they gave Grogu the big red umbrella to shield from the rain.
Saw this story shared by @nightbirdz in the server and had to draw them in the same situation (ā”ĖĶ ź³ ĖĶ)

the more i watch star trek tos, the more it becomes abundantly clear that the reason why modern trek doesnt get kirk at all is because they dont utilise mccoy nearly as much anymore
in modern trek, they always present the idea of logic vs emotion, with spock being logic and kirk being emotion, but thats not how tos has it. in tos, the logic vs emption debate is spock vs mccoy. kirk is supposed to be the mediator between the two, sometimes siding with one side over the other, sometimes finding a middle ground between the two. thats why hes the captain, hes able to see all angles and pick the best course
when you make kirk the emotional one, it completely breaks the format, because 9 time out of 10, it means kirk has to be correct. theres no more balance
mccoy is just as important to tos as spock is, and while i do understand why spock is as popular as he is, without mccoy, the show doesnt work. you need them both. kirk spock and mccoy are the three leads of the show, and removing one requires you to change the others, which is whats happened to kirk
I have been saying this for approximately 400 years, thank you.
When I teach rhetoric in my college essay writing/analysis course, it's always with the example of Kirk, Spock, AND McCoy. Ethos, Logos, Pathos--you need all three. Kirk isn't the counterweight to Spock; he's the fulcrum that balances Spock and McCoy.
Kirk isn't emotion. Kirk is ethos: credibility, authority. Spock and McCoy are there to stop him from damaging that credibility by falling back on an authority he doesn't actually have in the situation, to remind him of the logic or compassion that's lacking when an abuse of power would be the easy or basely satisfying thing to do.
What keeps Kirk credible is that he usually chooses the most ethical thing to do based on the information he has; what makes him a good leader, outside of his own innate abilities, is his understanding that he requires these two trusted advisors to keep him on an even keel. When Kirk says "I need you" to both Spock AND Bones, he means it.

iām gonna cry itās raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldnāt have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an āadultā task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about

not to alarm anyone but we have 2026 next week
remember when they had this whole eddie choosing water which symbolises him denying himself juice/joy storyline going on then there was an episode literally titled Donāt Drink the Water and they even brought the priest back. and somehow it was not connected at all.
Being a crafty person and making a bunch of things often prompts people to ask "oh wow did you make that?" And like, the short answer is: yes I did, but the long answer is: well, no, the pattern isn't mine, but I did choose and buy the fabric/yarn and sewed it together/crocheted it/knitted it myself. I used a reference for that drawing/painting, I didn't come up with it myself. That ceramic piece was insired by a poem and a painting made by different people. What I'm trying to say is, everything I make requires other people to make their own thing first, and then I get inspired by them to do my own thing. So I can't really call anything truly mine, because really it's just a bunch of inspirations and experiences of others (and me) put together by my hands. Does that answer your question
This yarn came from sheep raised in New Zealand and was spun by a woman in Peru. The pattern was created by someone in Germany. My needles were made by a craftsman in China and my stitchmarkers came from the lady at the local fiber festival.
I may have knit this sweater but it contains the souls of people from around the world.
In honor of the holidays and because my family and I decorated gingerbread houses recently I drew this
I am very proud of this.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays (whichever one you celebrate)
Unrestrained winter fun

I donāt think Iām ever going to be over Edi Gathegi and canāt help but feel so happy for him with his role in James Gunnās Superman
For those of you who donāt know Edi Gathegi starred in X-Men First Class as the character Dawrin (aka Armando MuƱoz)
Dawrinās powers are literally super adaptation, his body changes to every possible scenario in order to survive.
Gills to breath under water and fins when submerged
Stone skin when struck with an attack
In space his body will change to be able to breathe, when fire is directed at him he will become fire proof, etc. he is essentially unkillable dude to his mutation!
And yet in the movie he gets introduced solely to be killed
The unkillable, Black, Hispanic, Male, character literally gets killed first and acts as a āmotivatorā for the rest of the cast even though they hardly mention him after his death.
Edi Gathegi even voiced his concerns, only for the studio to promise him that Darwin would eventually come back and be resurrected in future movies but surprise surprise. That never happened.
Years later James Gunn reaches out and askes him to audition to the point he sees 200 people and still ask if Edi Gathegiās tape has come in.
Edi Gathegi despite his hesitation due to his last super hero movie experience decided to give it a shot and what a way to right a broken promise from the past!!
He not only doesnāt die but plays a vital role in the story, heās been praised as a scene stealer being one of the most liked characters right behind Superman
Edi has been open in interviews about what this means to him and how happy he was to have this opportunity
Its great to see this come full circle
