Im a bigender person. I live my life as a woman, but i do identify as male. Do you think i have some kind of magical access to male privilege? That im treated as male by society? I dont think you guys understand anything about how oppression works.
Just because men, at large, are not oppressed for being men, doesnt mean that isnt the case for trans men, the one identity where their cause for oppression (being trans) is interconnected with their maleness. A trans man wouldnt be a man if he wasnt trans, and he wouldnt be trans if he wasnt a man. They are the one category where maleness is, objectively, an aspect to their marginalized identity.
Like, im sorry, but it doesnt matter how much you scream about how maleness is never a cause for oppression, but if we have literal examples in real life of how maleness and transphobia intersect then im sorry, material reality kinda overrides your theoretical framework.
I, personally, do not have any privilege over cis women because I live life as a woman. I also am more privileged than most trans men, despite our identities having some slight overlap. I think you people should be able to grasp that in the case of trans identities where our personal experiences rarely align with how society view us, gendered oppression inherently has an added context that changes the dynamic. I think if you are incapable of processing that you are genuinely kind of stupid.
I also dont know why you guys think its MRA shit to acknowledge the reality of how trans men fit into the patriarchy, especially if pretty much everyone here understands this is an issue specific to trans men and not men at large. Like, how is that MRA.... when by definition this is exclusionary of a majority of men...
I think you ppl have, as usual, a severe issue with black and white thought. Saying "SOME men in a very specific situation have this particular experience" is not at all the same as saying "men at large experience this" but bc you all lack the capacity to comprehend that ppl within one social group can have experiences specific to them due to additional context, you assume thats what everyone means, and thats a skill issue on your part.
