I have interacted with toddlers, children, and teens and never once have any of them defended their poor behavior with “Well, I’m a minor!”

Why? Because when it comes to how they interact with other people and how they judge them, an actual immature person who doesn’t understand the repercussions of their actions believes that people older than them would do the same thing. So, saying “Well, I’m a minor” doesn’t cross their mind because they don’t believe their judgement or behavior is exclusive to being a minor, they think they are doing what adults would do in that same situation. They usually explain their behavior with their reasoning, a reasoning they believe mimics the reasoning of older people.

If someone reacts to criticism with “Well, I’m a minor!” right out of the gate it indicates that they don’t believe an adult would do the same thing, which also means they have an understanding that their behavior or judgement was unsavory or inappropriate. They are now falling back on the excuse because they want to be able to continue to perform that behavior or issue that judgement without any repercussions.

Dude, if you’re going to start insinuating I think harassment is okay at least say it outright instead of trying to be sneaky in your tags. I don’t think anyone deserves to be harassed, whether they’re a minor or not and regardless of if I agree with them.

This post is about minors who send threats, harass, bully, and then try to turn around and cry “Well, I’m a minor!” when people say that’s inappropriate and hold them accountable. It’s about when they make excuses for poor behavior knowing full well what they did was wrong.

Anyways, ace individuals are fine. There’s nothing of moral value negatively or positively in not experiencing sexual attraction. It is a frankly irrelevant piece of information, the same way I don’t care about how people experience any of other facet of their sex life or lack thereof. I do not judge people on how they feel about sex unless it deal with rape.

But I have major issue with anyone who claims that cisgender straight people who don’t feel sexual attraction have a spare orientation that magically makes them LGBT despite oppressing Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, and Trans and Nonbinary people. I have major issues with ace rhetoric sexualizing LGBT identities. I have major issues with ace rhetoric that you can healthily fuck people you aren’t sexually attracted to and date people you aren’t romantically attracted to, seeing as that is rhetoric taken directly from conversion therapy where LGBT people are told to forego their feelings and marry into a straight relationship and remain closeted.

I have issues with the idea that 10-18 year olds are being told that they are oppressed for being disinterested in sex or romance and that if you haven’t finished puberty yet, you’re LGBT and are Different From Your Peers which is fearmongering and just... fucking offensive.

I object to ace rhetoric that sexual orientation is about your relationship to sexual intercourse when sexual orientation/ the suffix sexual is about sex as in gender.

I have issues with the ace history of uses the holocaust imagery in their flags and symbols on AVEN. Of using stripes in their flags so people associate them with LGBT people “but not too much.”

I take issue with aces comparing cishet exclusion to TERFs excluding trans women from women’s spaces.When one is LGBT people protecting themselves from their oppressors and the other is cis people treating those they oppress like fucking shit and leading to actual real life violence and suffering.

I take issue with ace inclusion going hand in hand with the corporate take over and pride and liberalism in mainstream LGBT activism.

I’m tired of ace inclusion rhetoric being identical to kink, polyamous, intersex, and pedophile inclusion rhetoric.

I’m tired of people thinking it’s okay o tell strangers and minors their relationship to sex.

i’m tired of those same people thinking that when I use the word bisexual instead of biromantic I am also telling people who I want to fuck when bisexual isn’t about sex.

When... validity means nothing. Just like the word asexual. Asexual can mean doesn’t experience sexual attraction (except if you’re grey, demi, cupio, lithro.. then yeah you can) but does experience romantic attraction, doesn’t experience ANY attraction (unless you’re grey, demi, etc), or just doesn’t want sex. I’m tired of people whose words mean nothing going into the LGBT community and trying to make OUR words mean nothing through shit like the split attraction model or claiming cishets can reclaim queer. All to promote the idea of microidentities that supposedly make you more “queer” the more you identify with them even tho a solid 20% of them just mean shit like “so addicted to porn you can’t get off to real people anymore.”

So, yeah, if you don’t feel sexual attraction, I have no fucking issue with you. But if you support ace rhetoric and the ace community’s destruction of language around sexuality and LGBT identities, then, that’s what I have an issue with.

Not aceness. But ace “activism” which isn’t about destroying rape culture or promoting enthusiastic consent in sex (which I would support) but rather about bullying LGBT people for not including every fucking scatter brained hot take the cishets at the helm of your community can come up with in between watching episodes of Camp Camp and Steven Universe.

Then why is it okay to call the LGBT community 'the Queer community'

Why is it okay to force everyone to reclaim Queer.

Queer is a fucking slur.

It's a horrible word, with a horrible history.

If you want to reclaim it, for yourself, fine, great, more power to you.

Sometimes it’s sadness. It’s crying for the child you never got to be. It’s lying in bed, wondering who you would’ve been, if only you were cis. It’s looking at a cis guy or cis girl and feeling hollow in your chest.

Sometimes it’s anger. It’s screaming at the sky, for the unfairness of it all. It’s wondering, “why me?” It’s lashing out and resenting your family and friends, because even if they try they will never understand the pain you go through, will never understand what using your name and pronouns and supporting you in your transition means to you.

Sometimes it’s numbness. It’s looking in the mirror and just feeling empty. It’s taking a shower and staring at the ceiling, hands going through the motions, forcing yourself not to look down. It’s pushing your friends away because you can’t feel it within you to laugh or care anymore. It’s seeing someone else and hearing someone else and people talking about someone else, not you.

Sometimes it’s fear. The fear of changing in front of someone, of doctor’s appointments, of looking in the mirror when you step out of the shower. It’s the knot in your throat when you hear someone call you the wrong name but you’re not brave enough to correct them. It’s the fear that you’ll never get to be yourself.

Sometimes it’s confusion. It’s being young and wondering why those pronouns feel so wrong, why your name doesn’t fit you, wondering why your body feels so wrong but not having the words you need to explain yourself. It’s walking past a store window and being genuinely puzzled, because for a second, even if just a second, you forgot that you were transgender. It’s expecting to see something but seeing something else entirely.

Sometimes it’s exhaustion. Sometimes it’s so damn hard and you just want to sleep and never wake up again. Even if you’ve just woken up in the morning, you still feel like the weight of the world rests upon your shoulders, and your shoulders alone. It’s the feeling that no matter how much you sleep, you will never wake up to a world where you will get to be who you are without going through so much pain and effort and money. It’s wishing that someone would just hold you and tell you that they love you no matter what, no matter what- they’ll support you and fight for you and call you the right things.

Their (enbies) sex does not play a part in what label they use, their gender does. And they are very adamant on telling everyone that they’re Not Women, so they should stay away from using women’s terms. Masculinity and femininity doesn’t play a part either. Because again, with that logic, a feminine straight trans man would be just as much as a lesbian as an afab feminine nonbinary, and that’s incredibly fucking transphobic.
