The people of Gaza are having their ability to hope repeatedly punished and destroyed.

In the piece I quoted above, Mukhaimar writes:

"I believe these repeated bouts of ceasefire headlines are not unintentional — they are another form of punishment for the people of Gaza. Another form of torture. I really feel that to have solidarity with the people of Gaza in this moment is to do everything in our ability to sustain hope, to create a stable hope that is not repeatedly ripped away.
