A vegan cashew cream sauce that can be used to make many dishes creamier.
Ingredients: 1 cup raw cashews. 1 cup water. 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: The best time to soak cashews is overnight or for two to four hours. Rinse and drain the cashews. Soak cashews in water, add nutritional yeast, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Blend these ingredients together in a blender. If you need to, add more water to get the consistency you want. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add pepper and salt to taste. You can use it right away or put it in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week.
