idk something about these two moments juxtaposed together makes me wanna scream… lexa’s iconic “not everyone, not you” line to me was saying, in just four words, “i sacrificed all those people except you, clarke, because i care about you too much to lose you, someone who i’ve only just met but has already broke down my walls. you made me care when i thought i couldn’t anymore. you’re not just anyone, you’re different, you’re special” // and now we go to clarke’s line, it cuts so deep because she’s like, “i know you’re not my lexa but i don’t care, i’ve wanted to you see again for so long and now i am, even if its just some image of you so let me just hold you in my arms one last time, even if i know you’re not really her. you’re the closest i can get so just give me this” and like these two have affected each other so deeply, literally living in each other’s head rent free, when they’re with each other, other things just seem to fall away. they’re each other’s greatest love and god idk it just make me so feral thinking about it

I’ve seen so many posts about it not being Lexa but no ones taking the time to acknowledge that the “judge” feels everything that person is feeling. Clarks truth of how she feels for Lexa radiates so deeply you can see the judge just absorbing the moment. Verbalises it’s not her because of what she feels and then let’s Clark continue a moment longer. Could you imagine what it’s like to be the focal point of someone’s love, grief and guilt?

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is give people a moment even if it’s a lie. This is what some people needed and Alycia took the time to absorb everyone’s feelings on this character, ensured it wouldn’t be used to bait and gave them what she thought would help.

It may not have been our Lexa but a moment longer and validating what she meant was better then nothing.

Lexa didn’t lie with that quote. There have been so many heartaches from the moment she died. But we endured all these years, kept her memory alive... and in the end, all of our hard work paid off.

It may not be a complete ‘victory’... but let’s be thankful for every single ‘win’, no matter how small. In the end, it all proved to be bigger.

We proved that not only was Lexa the greatest love of Clarke, but she was also more than that. She made such a huge impact and is a beacon of hope and endurance for a lot of people. Lexa lived on in our hearts and she transcended way beyond the show itself.

To me, Lexa will always be the most iconic badass character that graced our TV screens. Fight me on this.

So for the last time... take your rightful throne, Heda. And there, you’ll stay... because on a pedestal is where you deserved to be.

My mind is at peace, my heart is full, and my soul is alive once more.
