Okay I’m gonna reblog this again because just look at it. This looks so crowded and dirty and as someone who’s slightly claustrophobic I can suddenly understand why Jack wanted out so bad.
Just the dirt fades into the bricks and it’s not like skyscrapers today that edge to the sky, it’s all brick buildings smashed together in a neat and straight way where it’s all a monochromatic blur of buildings blocking him in.
No wonder he wanted to stay on the roof, it would be a way to break away from the stiff and closed streets that don’t give any leeway from someone chasing you or someone running through the streets. It’s just like its a maze of brick and dust
