Without really looking at anything else, Skittery just went straight to the bar, only noting that the bartender was with his back to Skittery, serving some couple and then putting his head on his folded arms on the bar top. Two hours. Maybe three. Then it would be too late for his roommate-best-friends to pull him anywhere else that night. Maybe he’d even be too buzzed to think much about it.

“Hey there.”, a smooth voice greeted, tapping lightly on the wood next to Skittery’s head. Looking up, Skittery felt his throat instantly clog up at the sight of the breathtakingly handsome bartender in front of him.

The bar wasn’t the best-lit thing he’d ever seen, so his eyes were even darker than they must normally be, some smudged eyeshadow only drawing Skittery in more, his slightly longer hair pinned back on one side, revealing a dangling silver earring there. He didn’t even have enough time to take in his sleeveless mesh shirt – and arms – when the bartender spoke again.

“Anything you want to drink, pretty boy?”

Stuttering for a few moments before getting out anything coherent, Skittery slapped his ID on the table way harder than planned. “Touchdown.”

The bartender smirked at bit but took his ID to check if he was actually allowed to serve him, looking back and forth a few times for the picture.

His smile as he handed it back was even more disarming, somehow. “Then one Touchdown, coming right up. Did you play football or also just like the name of the drink?”, he asked, already pouring some colourful things into a glass.

“Uh. No. Just played soccer. No time now, with college.”

The bartender hummed. “Soccer players got nice legs I heard.”
