I do fucking love how once Zeze remembers being Eugene (and Minami catches on) (which doesn't take that long) they immediately start working so well together. Like, even before they have their big heart to heart, when it is still tense because Minami has - understandably - such intense feelings about Eugene--- but they immediately start falling into step with each other while walking down the hallway.

And i love these small ways in which the modern ways mirror the past (also Ride/Takao always falling into step behind Minami etc etc) but it is twice as juicy when it is Eugene and Veronica because by all accounts their marriage was a farce and he betrayed and killed her. And she knows all that and still---- still, as Minami said, Veronica thought they could have been a great match. A really well balanced arranged marriage, one with actual affection.

And even after the betrayal, even still mad as fuck--- subconsciously, Zeze and Minami fall into step with each other.

(and later just get each other)
