What We Carry With Us
No one really knows what happened for certain. Some say she was attacked. Others, say she was the one who initiated the battle. And others still, insist that there was no fight at all, but rather that she was ambushed or poisoned. Whichever version you believe, the end result remained the same.
The earth was dying.
With the final remnants of her strength, the earth's last act was to use her power to render what was once just empty vacuum, breathable air, and hostile places, welcoming regions. Then, her children were scattered out into the now inhabitable cosmos, forced to forge new lives.
Legend has it, only two things remained of the great mother, her broken shattered husk forever orbiting the sun, and her heart, rumored to have magic and power so great, it has led countless to their deaths in pursuit of it.
Being a sky sailor, Captain Félix Davis, had seen many a strange things. He had never been sure that the heart was real until he met two children limping across the cosmos in a dinky fisherman's boat who claimed to have it. They need his help to get it back to where it belongs.
However, between the long voyage, deadly storms, dangerous creatures that lurk, and god-like entities that roam the cosmos, Félix worries whether or not they will all make it in one piece.
COMING SOON
Additional announcement: Yes, this was originally being planned to be a webcomic. I was really excited to draw it out for you guys. But I really started slowing down when I reached page 7 of essentially "chapter 1" (part of that was, of course, new job situation) but I realized, quite sadly that.... I didn't want to draw that MUCH. It wasn't fun. This is supposed to be fun. I made the decision to switch to a webnovel. That being said, this is a story that to me I feel would be strongest, with visuals, so I will still be illustrating. Hopefully each chapter will have at least 2-3 illustrations, some might have more, maybe some don't have any at all, but I do intend to be drawing moments. Specifically moments that I feel give far more impact visually than I could ever describe through text. Also I hate describing how characters look so boom, just draw them.
I'll be releasing this on Scribblehub, but I'll be linking new chapters to this blog here everytime one is released, AND this blog will show off chapter illustrations before I upload chapters.
