here is your daily reminder to COMMENT ON THE AO3 FICS YOU READ! it goes such a long way, especially if it’s a multi-chapter work and you can only leave kudos once. ANYTHING is an acceptable comment—emojis, keyboard smash, screaming, in-depth analysis! i promise you, the writers want it ALL
I am trying to work on this myself, lol

something they don’t tell you about being autistic is that every character you write WILL end up autistic/autistic-coded whether you like it or not
same goes for being aromantic/asexual. every character WILL come out at least a little aspec
if you reblog this and purposefully remove the second addition i Will block you.
Just curious if you have any headcanons regarding a certain Baldwin pannier tank?
If it’s RWS Stanley we’re talking about then I sure do!! Here’s a list I made:
First, that artwork is so dope! I'm still trying to get a feel for drawing locomotives myself, so I'm totally jealous. And your headcanons are also fantastic! I guess I'll post some of my own (most of which come from my AU, admittedly)
*Stanley was WDLR #1046 and later 591 following the renumbering, making him the younger twin of the Welsh Highland Railway's #590 (also known to fellow engines as Monty-short for Montgomery, a town in Wales with the Welsh name of Trefaldwyn, which translates to "the town of Baldwin")
*During his time in the trenches, he befriended other engines such as the various Motor Rail Simplex Tin Turtles and the Hunslets and ALCOs built for the trenches. He would also befriend a few engines loaned to the WDLR for the war, the most notable of which was a Sudrian prairie tank named Lord Frederick, or just Freddie for short.
*It was Freddie who gave Stanley his name as he reasoned that every engine deserves a name. The two quickly bonded over humor and often used this as a way to get their mind off the war at night.
*Aside from Stanley, at least ten of his siblings resided within his troop/sector, those being...
The aforementioned Monty/590
#585, who became known as Atlas due to his penchant for memorizing and recalling map cordinations.
#587, nicknamed "Philly" owing to Baldwin Locomotive Works being based in/around Philadelphia.
#592, nicknamed "Fatty" after silent film star Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle
#593, nicknamed "Trampy" after Charlie Chaplin's on-screen character of The Tramp.
#594, nicknamed "Appleseed" due to his driver's penchant for chomping down apples and spitting out the appleseeds right outside of 594's cab.
#595, nicknamed "Pinky" for reasons that remain classified.
#596, nicknamed "Keystone" after the Keystone Cops due to his seemingly bumbling nature.
#597, nicknamed "Tanked Tommy" due to an incident in which his tanks were mistakenly filled with alcohol. He never really lived that one down.
#603, nicknamed "Dodger" due to his cunning nature.
*Out of Stanley's brothers in his troop, only four survived the war, those being Atlas, Dodger, Monty, and Pinky. While Dodger was among the fifty or so 10-12-Ds sent to India upon the war's end, and Monty would obviously end up on the Welsh Highland Railway (where he'd end up working with Freddie's younger twin Russell), Stanley and Atlas both went with Freddie to the Hilton Ironworks for about two years. (As for Pinky, he would work in a separate steel works until being withdrawn and scrapped in 1929).
*When the Mid Sodor Railway originally purchased Stanley, they had also acquired Atlas to be the railway's #8. Sadly, however, Atlas was simply too worn out to work and would never enter service, so the railway would instead keep him around as a source of spare parts for Stanley. Stanley, naturally, was deeply affected by this and would never talk about Atlas with anybody but Freddie and then maybe his driver Roger (who had been with Stanley since the war) and fireman Foggy (a Frenchman who settled on Sodor with a former nurse after the war).
*Aside from the sloppy regauging by whoever sold him to the Mid Sodor, another reason for Stanley's habit of derailing was his class' top-heavy layout as well as the rigid 4-6-0 wheelbase that made sharp curves and reverse running hazardous.
*On a lighter note, Stanley and Freddie were well known for their ribs, which very often centered around a particular little blue saddle tank.
*Speaking of bilingual Stanley, one of Stanley's more notable ribs on Falcon was "teaching" him French in order to impress an important passenger. Falcon was thinking he was being complementary and all sophisticated-like, a real express engine; in reality, Stanley taught Falcon some of the most vile, filthy, and vulgar French he learned from the trenches, resulting in a high society lady smacking Falcon with her handbag.
*Just as he had befriended many of the soldiers during his days in the trenches, Stanley also befriended many of the workmen he would take to and from the mines every day.
*While Freddie remained his closest friend amongst the other engines by a long shot, Stanley was also close to Tim-the second oldest engine in the fleet by the time Stanley arrived, as well as Jim and Gerry. A lot of this came from them being the "grunt" engines so to speak, those not necessarily designated to passenger runs like Duke, Falcon, or Lord Albert (the name I've given to Albert III).
*He enjoyed ribbing Falcon and Lord Albert when he felt they were getting too big for their buffers-such as calling Lord Albert "Al" or bringing up the time Falcon boasted about his hard work, only to break down and need the Old Timer to bail him out-but he did ultimately care for them.
*Despite being thirteen years younger than Falcon, Stanley often treated Falcon as an annoying kid brother. Not helping Falcon was the fact that he was a six-wheeled saddle tank compared to a ten-wheeled pannier tank.
*He had a small scar right under his left eye.
*There were five or six #2s before Stanley.
And I'll leave it there so I don't potentially spoil any future fics.

Mind drawing Pip dressed up like 70s Brian Eno?

You have no idea how much you made my day
The Skarloey railway, much like its counterpart in Wales, is prone to a special train every so often. The one Skarloey & Rheneas like best is one they pull together.
They call it "The Victorian Train" as its a rake of the oldest coaches pulled by the oldest engines.

I like the headcanon that Cartman actually likes Ike, and Kyle is annoyed because he thinks Cartman is a bad influence (which he is).
Considering how friendly Cartman was towards Ike in the pirate episode, not to mention his willingness to help Ike out in episodes like "Miss Teacher Bangs A Boy" and "Dead Celebrities" (also the fact that he save Ike and the rest of the family in "Smug Alert!" despite ostensibly only having a reason to save Kyle, not to mention how much ammo he would have had if Kyle became an orphan), I'd say there is basis for this in canon.
Would your Blorbo like to be turned into a vampire?
Yes
No
My Blorbo is already a vampire

Wendy and Tweek being besties is so so important to me ❤️
Putting on my thinking cap.

I had no idea Walter's name had such a meaning, that's pretty neat!
I had thought of him being named in honor of the then-recently retired Tall Controller, but this also works. Especially since Wilbert was always big on that sort of thing (I mean, he and his brother DID develop the beginnings of dialect after all. For stories about talking trains, no less!)
Hi!! I don't send asks often, and I do apologize if it's late for you at the time I send this, but I had to tell you that I just finished reading chapter 10 of Fine and Dandy, and I am loving it so far!! It put a genuine smile on my face and made me laugh a lot, which I'm grateful for because my summer break hasn't been the best. I felt like I should let you know, because it is that good! ^^
Thank you so much! I'm super glad to hear I've made your summer break better (mine hasn't been all that great either tbh, so I feel you)

Pepper would love Pokemon! Her favorite Pokemon of all time would be Chikorita since it's a cute little bean that turns into a flower dinosaur. She'd get extremely upset when people hate on it.
As for Eeveelutions, her favorite would probably be Leafeon. When I was little I wished there was a grass type Eeveelution since it made no sense to me that the fire, water, and thunder stones could evolve Eevee but not the leaf stone. I even made my own "Leafeon" which looked kind of like a cross between the beta sprite for Suicune and a Tangela.
Depending on what generation of kids you want to think of Pepper belonging to (I kind of flip flop between her and the South Park kids in general being stuck in the late 90's/early 00's and being modern day kids depending on what's more funny/interesting) either she already has an Eeveelution of her favorite type or she has the same wish I did at her age.

what’s pepper’s opinion on the other girls? (e.g. Wendy, Bebe, Heidi, Nichole…)
Pepper doesn't really like the other girls because the other girls don't really like Butters. It's hard to blame them for it after he's done things like start a gender war and make AI revenge videos of Red, but Pepper hadn't moved to South Park until after Season 20 so she didn't see Butters' Wieners Out phase, and she's only ever heard/seen Butters' side of the story for those kinds of incidents.
She believes Butters when he tells her all the other girls in school are bitches and when they badmouth him to her it comes across as them only proving he's right. Because he's always been nice to her, Pepper can't imagine him being a jerk unless there was a good reason. She especially dislikes Nelly and Red since Nelly seems to hate Butters the most and Red used him for a Labubu.
Both Wendy and Heidi have tried to make her feel more included with the girls, inviting her to sleepovers and even to join their committee, but the few times Pepper tried to join in on their group activities it always got ruined when the conversation became about Butters which upset Pepper and made her leave. Wendy and Heidi still think of Pepper as a friend but Pepper assumes all the girls dislike her.
Walter the Austerity Tank Engine!
He tends to be a bit shy and hides behind his own steam. But the Little Western Engines have been helping him find his confidence again!
There he is, the engine, the myth, the legend!
Since I already asked you about your headcanons regarding Walter, I'll go ahead and post some of my own!
1. Walter is one of the Hunslet Austerities that were ordered but not built until after the war ended, entering service in October of 1945.
2. Walter was absorbed into the LNER, becoming part of the J94 Class. Specifically, he is LNER 8062/BR 68062, as depicted in this Hornsby/Hattons model:
Fun fact, I picked that number without knowing about the model. But hey, BoCo's BR number came from a model too, so this is just par for the course.
(Originally, I was going to make Walter a fictional add-on before I decided I would only use the add-on method either for thematic reasons like with Oliver if it just makes more practical sense to do so as with Barry, Daisy, James, etc)
2. As with the real 68062, Walter spent many years allocated to Ardsley Shed, working as an industrial shunter in the Yorkshire coalfields and local marshalling yards. Aside from the occasional visit to other nearby sheds and junctions, Walter would remain here until being withdrawn in 1965.
3. Upon withdrawal, Walter was subsequently purchased by the Cumberland Steel Works and worked here for the next eight years before being withdrawn. From there, Walter would go through a variety of owners such as the Fred Pelham Coal Company, Jolly Frank's Funland, Wickersham Park, the odd heritage line, and who knows where else he's worked.
4. As a result of his rather colorful working life prior to arriving on Sodor, Walter's never short on stories or anecdotes from back in the day.
5. Walter is also familiar with a wide range of famous engines you wouldn't expect him to know. Gordon can talk about his brother the Flying Scotsman and Walter would be like "oh yeah, Scotty, love that guy!"
6. Walter enjoys a good joke, but is very serious about his work and will stand for no nonsense.
7. Walter was named in honor of then-recently retired Culdee Fell manager Walter Richards, who had once been his driver.
Okay, these are more specific to my AU the Sodorverse:
8. Walter works on the Harwick Branch Line along with Stirling (full name Earl of Stirling, a member of the GWR 3200 class), Paddy (a BR Class 14 "Teddy Bear" and the fifth diesel purchased by the NWR), and Ryan. He gets along swimmingly with Paddy and Ryan, and although he and Stirling can but heads, they do ultimately care about one another.
9. Likewise, he has a great deal of respect and admiration for Duck and Oliver and hits it off very well with the Scottish Twins and the Aresdale engines.
10. This one is more specific to my AU the Sodorverse, but the other lines near him there are the Misty Valley Branchline-where Emily and Paxton from the tv series work along with an ex-Caledonian Railway 439 Class tank engine named McIntosh (who's basically a Scottish Boomhauer)- and the Mid Sodor Heritage/Historical Railway. Walter and Bowler are the only non-Scottish engines who can understand McIntosh. Nobody knows how Walter understands him, he just does.
