Anxious Bastard

Humans were created first within the Monster Prom world, with monsters being created a few years after when the Eldrich God's/Horrors got bored of how similar humans were to each other visibly. After centuries of humans and monsters exisiting, something strange happened. The god of Life fell in love with a human. The other god's knew about this, but they didnt care and instead saw it as natural that some of them would form relationships, whether those be romantic or friendship, with their creations. Eventually, Life's lover died as all things do and Life couldn't withstand the grief. So they snuck behind Deaths back and stole back their lover, reincarnating them and bringing them into the God's realm where things such as death and illness couldn't harm then. Death eventually found out, and feeling betrayed and cheated by Life, confronted them. Demanding that Lifes lover to be rightfully returned, yet Life refused. Agurements soon turned into fights as neither god was willing to back down.

During this time the world's suffered, while birth rates greatly increased, with twins and triplets becoming more common, so did death as life expectancy dropped drastically. Eventually, the other god's got tired of both seeing their creations suffer and Life and Deaths fighting and stepped in to meditate. Eventually an agreement was reached, Life's lover would continue to live, but they would be forced into the monster world where they can once again be harmed (basically no longer immortal which Death was particularly pissed about). After they died they would then be Deaths again and for good this time. But they couldn't send a normal human into the monster world, so they changed them to resemble more of how they died in the human world then sent them down. So, Life's lover became the first zombie.

I image the reveal was a bit complex, neither of them knew how to feel and if they even wanted to keep it. They both ended up going to their respective friends (Egg and Minute for Wemmbu and Lomedy for Flame) to talk about it. Eventually Flame decides that he wants Wemmbu to keep it and that he wants to be involved and travels to the end. He finds Wemmbu who also decided he wants to keep it, and upon hearing that Flame picks Wemmbu up and starts spinning him in joy.

When Flame first told Mane he was having a kid Mane thought it was with a random girl that like baby trapped him. When he heard its with Wemmbu and that he wants the kid, he was a bit slow to realize that he'd have a cousin(? Is that the right term?). When he finally realized tho he was so excited and started talking about everything he wants to do with the kid and how he'll be the best uncle.

Minute was also very excited but in a much more calm way if that makes sense? Like he wasnt as energetic as Mane was but still made it clear how he's happy for Wemmbu and looking forward to meeting the kid.

Wemmbu also told Parrot and Theo thinking that the more people who know the more people can protect her. Theo was ecstatic and was a lot like Mane. Saying everything hes going to do with her and how he's gonna be the fun uncle. Parrot was a bit more like Minute, only really asking when the baby would be due and asking if they can do anything to support him.

When she's first born the only people who know are Wemmbu, Flame, Jumper (who acted like a midwife), and Egg who just happened to be there. For a week its only them who know, eventually though Wemmbu feels recovered and safe enough to allow the others to be told and visit.

Her name is Kyra or Kai and she looks a lot like Flame, although she got her tail and eventual horns from Wemmbu (I also like to image when shes a teen that she gets purple highlights)

Wemmbu is dada and Flame is papa (or dad and pop when shes older although she mostly uses dad interchangeably for both).

When she first learns/starts to speak she calls Mane kitty (he tried getting her to say lion instead but she just doubled down every time so he gave up), Egg is just egg, Lomedy is yellow, Parrot is blue, Theo is bird (which he use to say she agrees he's the biggest bird), Minute is min, and Jumper is pink.

When Mane first meets her he ends up borderline interrogating Wemmbu on if Flame is being a good boyfriend and taking care of him (he is. If anything he's spoiling him and doing too much)

Wemmbu has some separation anxiety with her. With people only being able to hold her for a few seconds to a minute before he gets too anxious and takes her back. Only exception is Minute. Flame is not excused from this but he gets to hold her for much longer than others before Wemmbu will ask for her back.

The saying it takes a village is quite literal with her. Everyone I mentioned has a role in raising her. Egg, Minute, and Lomedy are teachers. Mane (and Wemmbu and Flame) are mentors in fighting. Parrot and Theo teach kindness and how to work in a team/be a leader. Jumper helps her with more kind of girly things is the best way to put it? Shes like the honary mom.

Everyone except Egg is also a baby sitter. Egg was a baby sitter when she was literally still a baby and he would just read outloud to her. But as she grew up and needed to interacted with more he just kinda didnt know what to do cause reading stories to her doesnt work anymore, so he stopped baby sitting.

I'll probably repost this with more headcanons as I think of them.

Also im genuinely curious cause I can see it going either way and I wanna know other people's opinion on it but
