Corporate profits are soaring. After taxes, they now take 12.3 percent of national output, far above their postwar average of 7.3 percent.

I know there are uses for machine learning, and that's great, but you can't use it for my thing, and now my thing is going away in favor of this stuff, whether or not it is "AI" and whether or not anyone wants it or benefits from it (my lab certainly did not lol).
