My name is Zee! I use they/them pronouns.

I am very, very queer. (Unless you’re Omar Rudberg)

I'm currently 22. I live in the United States (&now also Canada!) I’m studying to be a historian.

I speak lots of languages if you're patient with me. Mostly English, French and Swedish but a few others too. I make mistakes. Grammar is not my strong suit in any language, not even English.

My cats are named Lavender and Basil. They’re both plants and book characters.

I think Reckless Abandon might be one of the most beautiful works I've ever written. Not to toot my own horn here or anything but I planned that shit down to the second, and researched how each piece of art would connect to every character, and, in the words of a very complimentary person in the bookmarks, created the "ensemble fics to end all ensemble fics."

That thing is my baby.

ok. let me tell you about the Centaurs+SAPs process. (will you understand the words I am about to say? probably not! strap in.)

So, basically, I went down a rabbit hole on the Hollanov Timeline Reveal tag on ao3 and suddenly I needed to write one. It was visceral.

I felt like Shane and Ilya would not be going around and advertising the situationship from hell to all their coworkers, so it was obviously going to be a secret from the team. But it is not a secret from their friends. And they are friends with the SAPs. So not a secret to them.

And I also knew that the Centaurs team was not gonna let that slide. So there would naturally be shenanigans. Their SAPs knew what they were signing up for when they married/partnered up with these men. They knew they'd be involved in shenanigans. Obviously they were going to become involved in this timeline reveal.

It's too hard! I was sitting there on a baby name site for like 3 hours, trying to match names to surnames that weren't going to sound stupid. For a solid 35 minutes, Daniel Boyle was going to be Bob Boyle.

AND THEN I HAD TO NAME THE SAPS. AND MAKE NEW ONES.

I did not think of the amount of world building I was going to need to do in order to finish this fic. And even when I got all their names, most of these men do not have canon personalities aside from "country" or "has children." Their wives have even less personality, except "bearer of children" or, in one case, "doctor."

So we finally got through the canonical couples and it wasn't enough, because I didn't think there would be 4-5 early-twenties millionaire hockey players without at least a gf. So then I had to create SAPs from scratch for two of the rookies.

AND THEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE FIC I WAS LIKE "what if the two single guys in the chat were secretly in love?"

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

I tabled that last one. It's very briefly mentioned that they are both queer, and hinted that they might like each other, but I did not push it farther for my own sanity.

And that, my friend, is the story of how that fic ruined my sanity. Came out good tho.
