Z5's Shenanigans

This anime definitely took me places. Its been a long journey and not all of it was great but over all a very enjoyable story of a boy who aspired to be like his hero and succeeded. I very much appreciated three whole epilogue episodes after just finishing another show that had none. I might look into My Hero Academia: Vigilantes soon.

Just before Netflix drops it. Had a lot of fun with this one. Got really attached to two characters who I knew were good but kept hanging out with the Horde. Everything turned out in the end though. Speaking of the end, it felt abrupt and we don't really get to live in the "happily ever after" even though we know it will be happy. Good set up for a sequel series but I guess that never happened.

I will preface this by acknowledging that this show was not made for me. I was not feeling this show. It took way too long for Tyrone and Tandy to finally get a hold on their powers and start working together. I felt like they barely achieved that by the last episode of season 2. That being said, I really think season 3 could have been great. With their powers and trust compounded they could have started pushing their abilities and personally, I think they could have taken on the Roxxon CEO, who is a minotaur by the way. Anyway, looking forward to finishing the other Hulu series.

You can't comprehend the number of times I looked over at my watch mates and said "This is a comedy" or "Comedy" in air quotes. This took the concept of "put in a bit of dark to add a little extra spice to the comedy" and flipped it. It worked though, there were some real laugh out loud moments, especially in this final season. I can always appreciate a comedy that builds on previous jokes as well as Arrested Development and I feel like the final season of Upload delivered.

Very funny. At first I was all in and then the characters started to disappoint me a little, but I was like "hey, this is a comedy, don't hold it against them." Gotta say, Guillermo is what really got me through. His struggle throughout the show was compelling to me. The end of the show was nice too. Loved the cyclical nature of it all.

Fantastic show. I have yet to do a Rogue One rewatch but I'm sure when I do it will hit much harder. Tony Gilroy may not have been interested in easter eggs or references but I loved all the connections to other Star Wars stuff both Legends and Disney Canon. I was a little bummed that we didn't get more K-2SO but those episodes about Kleya made her unforgettable.
