one of the reasons i love this movie so much is because of the happy ending. i fully expected rocky to die when i saw the trailer (as such movies usually kill the alien creature) and at no point in the movie did i think both them and their planets are gonna survive and everyone ends up happy. even when they were separating to go to their individual planets, it was bittersweet because they had to leave each other. genuinely couldn't believe they gave me the most positive ending where everyone lives and everyone is happy and everything is fine.
