People are like βitβs so beautiful no clouds at allβ it could use a little clouds if I had to be honest.

@ the corporate number cruchers who keep cancelling things:
If a show/movie doesn't have chart topping numbers in its first week, it's not because the quality of the show is lacking; it's due to poor promotion.
Obviously most people aren't going to watch something that they don't know exists or don't know anything about.
If you're relying on word of mouth promotion to spread interest, you can't also judge success by the first week or two on tv, or the opening weekend at the box office, or one month on stage for an expensive ticket that needs to be planned out and bought in advance.
(ok, I understand that the stage situation is a little different; they're not massive, rich entertainment companies that are just choosing to pull the plug on something because it didn't return within the first few days: they're small new shows that literally can't afford to keep renting the theater - that's a whole OTHER problem with the system that we're not diverting to talk about right now -)
Most people aren't seeing something and immediately getting on the horn to tell all their friends and family to drop everything and go see this thing right now, and most people receiving a recommendation aren't rushing to check it out that same day.
Recommendations get brought up the next time you're catching up with someone. People hear about something and go "wow, that does sound right up my alley: I'll have to check it out at my next convenience."
The amount of times I have barely even known about something until some time after it debuted, loved it, recommended it in every conversation I had, and found out less than a month later that it was being pulled -
These things take time, guys.
We need to start investing more in staying power and less in "burn bright, fizzle quick".
Lawyer: How would you like to handle the custody agreement?
Parent: I want my wife to take one of my infant daughters to the UK and Iβll take the other one and we will never see each other again.
Lawyer: You want to fucking what?

I know I say this a lot, but itβs crazy to me that the atla fandom has any sort of tendency at all to portray zuko as rational, levelheaded, clever, knowledgeable, studious, meticulous, practical, reasonable, logical, or otherwise intelligent. while he does possess certain strengths, his greatest are his grit and tenacity, resilience built up through a lifetime of failures born of a tendency for heedlessness, rushing into choices without thinking through the consequences or weighing his options whatsoever. he has his moments, to be sure, but thatβs largely because he happens to be far luckier than he gives himself credit for. oh, and while weβre at it, heβs also certainly not stoic, aloof, even-tempered, mature, or quiet. the fact that heβs foolhardy and impulsive and reckless and dramatic and loud and emotionally expressive and myopically driven and strong-willed are sort of his defining qualities, actually. theyβre also the traits that make his character actually endearing, so im not really sure why people seem so determined to negate them.
Much like bringing our own reusable shopping bags out with us, or carrying around our own reusable water bottles/travel mugs, I think we should normalize having our own take-out containers for restaurant leftovers and the like. They could be thermal, for preservation, and scent-proof, so if you're going anywhere after you eat, or even just taking public transportation, you're not making everyone around you smell your food.
Possible pros include:
1. Not feeling like you're wasting food/money if you don't finish your meal
A. Not overeating and making yourself miserable in order to avoid waste
(1) Cutting down overeating habits and forming the habit of instead always feeling secure to take leftovers with you would probably also help with health
2. People might start ordering more than they can eat in one sitting on purpose, with the intention of taking some home later.
A. A way for people to secure themselves a future meal that they also won't need to cook for themselves
B. A way for people to not have to choose between two dishes that they think look good
C. Bringing home food for loved ones
D. Might also benefit restaurants if they're selling more?
3. The food storage options could look really cute.
Technically true.

As you know, counting sheeps is perfect for sleep. Sheeps take that job very seriously. But some are still learning. Itβs fine, I donβt think Wolf Hunter minds. πππ

this makes me less sad every time I see it no matter how sad the rest of the world is making me
one of the funniest conversations I ever had with my ex was when they were still getting used to Celsius and asked me "what's 20 degrees?" and instead of converting it, I said "it's the highest your dad will ever let you set the thermostat and when you say you're cold he tells you to put on another sweater, we're not made of money" and they went "oh, 68"
the fact that this reference was that fucking precise was something they went on to tell people about for years.
Steve casually saying that it's super easy to make friends and Eddie loudly cutting in to ask why Steve doesn't have any friends then, "You eat lunch in your car ever since Wheeler dumped you for Byers."
This not only embarrassed Steve but also pissed him off so he's now dedicating himself to befriending all of Eddie's friend and turning them against him.
See how you like that, Munson.

Deserves the entire world if you even care (everyone is required to care)
btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here
Job hunting in a hostile environment. β¨
its probably a normal sign for the economy that all of my adulthood fantasies are like "imagine having your own kitchen living room and bathroom to decorate" "what if i could get on a train" "maybe one day i could purchase a sturdy pair of shoes" "i should save and invest in a single bicycle"
