So many people have vaginas. However, it still feels incredibly taboo for me, a woman, to refer to my genitalia by name, or to refer to it all, for that matter. Women’s bodies have traditionally been interpreted through a male lens to the point that we are more familiar with their renditions than our own. Counterintuitively, woman-generated interpretations of female sexuality and anatomy can seem confrontational or alternative. The “BuBi” ceramic pipes are not ashamed, they are upfront and joyful. “BuBi” design is a portal for all individuals to celebrate their own sexual identities. I believe every individual can benefit from this journey, through positivity and serenity we can transcend these pre-constructed narratives and begin creating our own. Through ”BuBi”, I am reclaiming and working toward peace with my own body and sexuality. I am pleased to share this journey with you, get your “BuBi” today!

The Shortcut/ a monument is an installation of my best wishes for the institution of Salem Art Works. Many stones and objects are found on the sight, and many were made with clay by the me then glazed by the people of Salem. The pathway draws Chinese character, the people 人 ( ren ).

In both the East and West, people used them as weapons, usually by the working classes who were not allowed to have blades. In the former Soviet Union’s emblem, the image of the sickle is used to respectful  representation of peasants.

Here is the statement I wrote for the show. “The four crafted shapes are the illustration of my ideas about cycle and interdependency. The pieces are made to be functional as both indoor and outdoor seating, while also being light enough to be carried easily. This is effort for connection. I want more than spectators to my work. It can be interactive, interpreted as an odd shaped bench and classified as craft, or it can be analyzed at a distance of its ideas and emotions and be an art object. It can be both, either, or neither.”
