He’s 19! Time sure flies, it feels like just yesterday that he was 11 and starting fifth grade!

Hmm... I don’t know if I see it? Maybe my opinion will change when I finish reading all of the books, I’m starting series 6 book 16 tomorrow, but as of right now I can’t picture it.

Ah, this is where Carver’s weaknesses as a writer become his strengths. He’s not very good at showing anything interesting or complex happening, but by god, can he imply it. And the implications of Sam and Dean’s abuse are bone-chilling. I absolutely agree that it’s meant to be read as worse than what’s actually on page, and I agree that there’s a shift after series 2. The moment that stands out to me the most is the iconic “My father was an obsessed bastard!” monologue; such a good Dean moment! Those are few and far between!

This is an easy one! Sam and Cass retire to a small town somewhere and live completely normal, boring lives. I loved Sam Wesson in Series 4 Book 17 It’s A  Terrible Life, and I could so picture Cass as a sassy secretary or something! It’d be so, so cute!

Listen, Becky is my friend, and I love her work dearly, but as much as we wish it were so, fanfiction is not canon. 

Hmm... interesting! I’d considered it, but since Gabriel isn’t really a main character the same way Castiel is, I don’t find Sabriel as compelling as Sastiel. 

What about Cassie? Her and Dean’s moments were incredibly sweet, especially since it was in a really early book and Dean hadn’t gone through all of the Hell-trauma yet. I think if Dean was going to settle down with any woman and really try his hardest to be a good, normal, heterosexual husband, it’d be with her, but again: I think Dean is a gay man, so ultimately this isn’t an endgame pairing for me. 

I read these books because I’m a completionist and also on the off-chance that they’ll have Cass in them. Regarding Carver: have you ever heard of death of the author? Please take at least one (1) college-level English class before sending an ask to me again. Thanks!
