Yeah,for sure

still blows my mind that in 2021 people are really out here with their whole chest saying things like “nothing else should matter [besides being able to play hockey]” okay but it does. it does matter. luke prokop coming out does matter. just like it matters that carey price, ethan bear, and zach whitecloud are in the nhl. it matters that nick suzuki, jason robertson, and matt dumba are in the nhl. it matters that p.k. subban, anthony duclair, darnell nurse, and k’andre miller are in the nhl. and those are just off the top of my head. those who came before them & paved the way + those who will come after them matter. there was a time where hockey was an all-white sport, one that wasn’t so long ago, and racism is still an extremely prevalent issue within both the nhl and the sport as a whole; homophobia & transphobia are no doubt extremely prevelant in the nhl. the presence & work of these men in hockey actively work to change the culture of hockey for the better. the presence of fans who are not white and/or not cishet matter. you don’t have to be a person of color and/or lgbt to see that, there’s absolutely no excuse. do better & learn to be understanding and compassionate for others, not just yourself.

ANYWAY the NWHL bubble season starts January 23 so be there
