(note that this is all probably just after arch 1, before the og forest was torn up) (just insert clan names where I put Simon and Grace)

so I made Grace a Windclan cat who was sent on a mission to the Moonstone to get insight on the dimming sun (it was just an increase in fog that they interpreted as a sign of death). He was a warrior sent to protect the Warriors version of Stratt along with some others. Partway through the journey (idk how) they got attacked by the rats from the first arch. Grace passed out from the stress of the battle (he was never good at fighting anyways) and woke up to find he had been left behind, assumed dead by the whole clan. He couldn’t remember much about what had gone on before only that he was a mentor, and that the sun was dimming. Also a single rat left there (for the same reason as Grace) was chilling nearby, so obviously they became best friends. Grace in this version couldn’t do much about the dimming sun (he ain’t a medicine cat) so instead he found himself a life as a loner with the rat (who he calls Rocky). Eventually he gets intercepted by a Windclan patrol and someone recognizes him. And he remembers. He is asked if he would like to go back. And he says no. He has found a good life as a loner. He somehow finds himself by the lake (before anyone else) and makes himself a one-cat camp near a colony of rats (Rocky found a mate and friends there). One day, though, a new cat appears. Bloody, wounded, and missing a limb.

Simon was a Bloodclan/Shadowclan mix (yeah from that era) who was raised by Bloodclan after his mother gave him up (just after Scourge was taken down) it was still a messed up clan, killing outsiders, and just being selfish and angry all the time. Simon made it work though. Until one day he gets into a bad fight with a ‘gang’ of sorts. And, being a large and powerful cat, he kills all of them. This is enough to make him a Convict, even in Bloodclans eyes. So he is exiled. Sent away into the true wild. He becomes a rouge near the clans. He steals food, gets into minor fights along the borders of Shadowclan and Thunderclan. One of these fights are with a Thunderclan patrol, nothing he can’t handle right? Wrong. Fairly soon backup is called for, he is well known around here now, and then a Shadowclan patrol comes around and joins. Simon has become a menace to the clans and they want him gone. But Simon, being stubborn and angry, fights back, nearly wins, then his leg gets caught on something. And he’s stuck. And still being attacked. To escape he pulls his leg out, but the leg doesn’t come with. So now he has ripped him front leg from its socket and is bleeding out. The clan cats leave him to die there. But he pulls through. Drags himself to an old fox den and manages to fix himself up well enough for the time being. Then he moves, Simon sneaks through clan territory to the mountains, he gets all the way to the lake without a limb, fighting literally anything that tries to help. He gets his face torn up by the Tribe cats, before finding Grace.

Initially Simon tries to kill Grace because easy meal, right? Wrong again. Grace now has a small army of Rocky’s rat friends who beat the shit out of Simon before Grace stops them. One more scar for Simon, who has just taken one to many blows and passes out. Grace carries simon (not without struggle) to his den and takes care of a barley living Simon until he wakes about a week later. Simon feels terrible for trying to hurt Grace who has just spent a week - barely going out to hunt, losing sleep, and trying to stop the rats from fighting Simon again - taking care of Simon. So naturally he immediately tries to run away, forgetting both the missing limb/blood and the rat army outside. He falls flat on his face and Grace has to drag him, kicking and screaming, back to his nest.

He’s gonna have, like, a pig or something. And Jean’s mouth is going to visibly drop open as Jeremy holds the little piglet in his arms like a person might a baby, sheepishly smiling up at Jean as he says in all seriousness “His name is Kevin Bacon. Get it? Like the actor?”
