BIG fan of when a character’s dialogue is a massive understatement on how they’re doing. They’re too out-of-it or in too much pain to actually communicate it coherently, so they end up saying the most general obvious statement of all time and worry everyone more.
Sky-high, obvious fever and all they can say is “I don’t think I feel good.” Extremely painful, apparent injury and what they say is just “it hurts.” No specifics—they can’t think clearly enough for that.

Hello! And welcome to the whump gifmaking challenge! I'm your host @aceofwhump and I'm excited to bring another year of a whump challenge specifically created with gifmakers and visual artists in mind.
The challenge begins in August!
Rules:
All gifs posted must be made by you. Do not just post gifs using the gif keyboard and claim them as yours and do not repost other people’s gifs. No AI-generated content please.
Various mediums are welcome! So long as the visual art aspect is the focus you can make whatever you want. Yes this is primarily a gifmaking challenge so everything is geared towards that but any visual art is welcome. If you draw, make moodboards, edits, videos, etc you’re welcome to participate!
You can use the prompts however you like. There is no wrong way to use a prompt. Feel free to interpret them however you wish. If you think it counts as whump? It's whump! Make it! Angst, comfort, emotional whump, small things, big things, it all counts so no need to over think it.
Tag all potential triggers (things like emeto, gore, nsfw, blood, eye whump, rape/noncon, etc.) When in doubt, tag it.

I have been inspired by the july whumperless whump event, so I'm going to try and have a gif for everyday this month. I probably won't post them daily just because I'm not that organized, but by the end of the month I WILL post 31 gif sets. I also won't be adding the official WWEvent tags because I am simply using the prompt list for inspiration, some of them might not even be whumperless lol instead I will tag all these as simply #whump event

Father Brown 3x15 The Owl of Minerva
They are a little bit stilted because I took every third frame (I used the wrong computer and didn't want to take up too much space with some practice gifs lol) and I'm not entirely sure why the third gif feels so much faster than the others, but it was so much fun to make!!! I'm definitely going to take another shot at this scene but for a first ever try I'm really happy with it! I can't wait to start making more gifs!
