I wish we got to know more about Colin's family. I really want to know about his upbringing and how his parents were/are.
I wonder if he ever came out to them, and if they took it in a bad way, or if he was too scared to say anything to them. If they aren't accepting, that would make that "one percent" all the scarier for him, even for people he trusts. The fact that he didn't even tell Isaac (and it wasn't even just not telling him, he fully lied and acted like he was straight around everyone, including Isaac) leads me to believe that he didn't have much support growing up. I can't imagine the fear he felt when Isaac took his phone and saw whatever he saw, or when Trent followed him to that gay bar.
I adore his character, and I love anyone who has written fics about him, especially those who have tried to give his character more depth.

S3 Roy Kent deserved to be told that he deserves someone who makes him feel like he’s been struck by fucking lightning. I hope part of his therapy journey is learning that there is nothing inherently wrong with the degree of closeness with or amount of time together that he craves form a romantic partner.
Of course they don’t like Milly Alcock’s Supergirl. She’s a grown ass woman with zero love interests who spends the movie saving her dog, casually dismantling a sex trafficking ring while she’s at it, and preaching the importance of being good, not nice or smiley or cheerful but good. I for one adored the movie and I really hope I’ll get to see more of Alcock’s Supergirl she’s now my favorite iteration of her and I love her so dearly.
A thing I really appreciate about supergirl is that Kara is never shown to be pretty. Yeha she is pretty regardless because they casted milly fucking alcock but the never show her to be put together. They let her be messy. They let her be rude. They let her fuck up. Every time we see strong confident women in media they are always wearing the tightest bodysuit and look beautiful even when they have been beaten to shit. Not here. Every scene Kara is in she looks like a car had run over her. And they don't "transform" her and make her look prettier by the end to show that she has started to heal. Nah they keep her like that and they change how she acts. I love supergirl.

One of the screwups in season 5 that doesn't get as much attention as it should is the disappearance of Sam Owens.
I know he was a polarizing character. I personally see him as someone trying to do a little good in a situation that doesn't really allow for it. He's skirting a razor thin line between good and evil because he knows it's a matter of life and death, and it weighs on him with every decision he makes.
But, regardless of how anyone sees him, he was knee deep in the supernatural plot, basically the only character besides Brenner himself who had any insight into what was actually going on and with any expertise to combat it.
The last we see him, he's at the mercy of Sullivan, pleading with the colonel to let him put El in an induced coma instead of killing her. Then we just never see him again. He's not killed on screen, and this show wasn't one to do off screen deaths. Considering Sullivan is in Hawkins, working under Dr. Kay, it would've worked to have Owens be a prisoner compelled to work for them. His knowledge would be invaluable to her, after all.
But, no, he's just never seen or heard from again. There's no mention of him from any of the characters, not from Sullivan or Kay blaming him for letting things get out of control, not from Hopper or any of the other heroes about him disappearing when he was supposed to help. Nothing. It's as if he never existed.
No matter how anyone thought of him, he was an important character who deserved better than to just not be brought back without explanation. It's bad enough that Jonathan never mentioned Argyle again or that Max's mom was erased entirely. They didn't have plot important roles, even if their utter disappearances make no sense. Owens was a plot important character. And it feels like not mentioning him was done so fans wouldn't stop and wonder what happened to him. They took the cheap and easy way out, it seems.
It makes the whole thing with him sending agents to Hawkins seem completely pointless. They never accomplish their goal of protecting Max, and they and Owens don't end up playing any role in season 5.
Sigh. So stupid.
