im also the funniest person everywhere else!

Don't get me wrong I love Keeley, but upon rewatch she irritates me so bad with the way she handles ANY small inconvenience in her relationships with Roy and Jamie. And the sad part is that (for me at least) it is so easy to tell why.

She does not take them seriously. At all, yeah she likes them or whatever on her terms. But she still doesn't take them seriously in their careers, which with what they do, to a certain extent their whole life revolves around (what with the diet and exercise required, among other things(including their PR stuff)). You can see it right in S1, when she's making fun of Roy: "I'm Roy Kent and I get paid to play a game. But I'm mad all the time." Like, yes. It is a game, but it is also their CAREER THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES. Idc, the way that she dates footballers but never seems to acknowledge that for them this is not JUST a game.

Sorry for this rant but:

It's especially evident with Roy. Roy got scouted by Sunderland at NINE YEARS OLD, this has been his LIFE since before he hit double digits. He's like 38 in season 1, debuted at 17, this has been his job for 21(ish) years. He retires and he's upset and she never seems to take it with any weight. The way it's portrayed, it feels like he didn't even get a full off season to be upset about a huge part of his life ending before she started pushing him into being a pundit (admittedly it did end up being good for him, but still). Not to mention the way she brushes off him being upset about her masturbating to his press conference, where he (a man not comfortable with the world seeing him have any emotion besides anger) cries because he has to give up something he has been doing his WHOLE LIFE!!! Girl, the disrespect.

Anyway, sorry again for the rant but I needed to get it out of my system.

don’t apologize you’re so right. she’s dismissive of their entire livelihoods.

on top of flirting with roy while with jamie, making the disgusting jokes at the gala, how she talks about jamie to shandy + airing out her issues with roy to his co workers and talking about him instead of to him, and then blowing up in his face, and then acting heart broken like he did something wrong when he realized they didn’t work

she also does get dismissive toward them. something that’s there entire lives and yeah your right making a big emotional moment of roy’s a joke is really weird.
